An Israeli soldier maneuvers an armored personnel carrier at their position along the Israeli Lebanese border. Israel was amassing thousands more reservists on the Lebanese border to stage ground incursions aimed at destroying Hezbollah positions, warning it would not rule out a full-scale invasion despite mounting calls for a ceasefire.

When Diogenesis posts "You Gotta See This" (Which I haven't seen today...?) I go and do something else for a half an hour and return periodically to keep clicking the red Xs.

Small price to pay for rural isolation.

:-)

And the left thinks we can just talk to them...and it'll all work out.

Extra bandwidth usage for a website owner can mean extra cost.

While I understand what you are saying, the instructions I posted are the same instructions available on many HTML threads on FR and are used by many posters here to post a picture.

There's a way to turn off pictures I'm told. If you have Internet Explorer then click on "tools", "internet options", "advanced", then scroll down and check or uncheck the picture viewing option.

I haven't done it myself because I have DSL but that's how it goes if I understand correctly. Hope this helps.

Oh..yes they do.

When I saw/heard Juan Williams with Laura Ingraham last night..and he asked HER, where SHE has been...I about choked..

HE is the one that is totally disconnected to reality, IMHO>

I WISH that on the Sunday talk show tomorrow..that they replay that and BRIT can slap down Juan.

I picked up three weeks worth of groceries last night, rounded out the 6 month stockpile of dry/canned goods with a very few items, and filled up the truck, at $2.88 a gallon.

Come what may, I'm set.

Thanks for the info. I've been lazy letting you do all the work. For all that I use Google, I never even noticed the "language tools" link. Just want you to know I appreciate what you've been doing!

The headline alone is enough to encourage more jihadis.

Absolutely. The lying headline is their way of telegraphing the enemy. Time and again one finds the headline is not supported by the story.

I saw that. He was more aggressive than I normally see. Laura had to ask him to kick it down a notch.

Paul Simon has this up:

Kofi's Marauders
Dave Kopel has an important post at the Volokh Conspiracy, regarding UN complicity in the kidnapping of some Israeli soldiers by Hezbollah back in 2000. In this post Oil-for-Food world what rational person would not believe Kopel's argument? This post obviously could not be more relevant to the current situation since at some point a solution has to be found. Maybe we should exchange Kofi for the kidnapped Israelis. He can spend the rest of his life trying to get his fancy suits dry-cleaned in a Palestinian refugee camp.

Rift opens between Britain and US over Israeli offensive

by Marc Burleigh1 hour, 48 minutes ago

The United States was starting to look isolated in its refusal to rein in Israel's attacks on Lebanon with key ally Britain criticising the wholesale killing of Lebanese civilians and widespread destruction.

Britain's junior foreign minister Kim Howells, visiting Beirut, Saturday questioned Israel's military tactics and slammed its killing of "so many children and so many people".

"These are not surgical strikes," he said of the air and artillery bombardments since July 12 that have killed more than 300 civilians in Lebanon.

"If they are chasing Hezbollah, then go for Hezbollah. You don't go for the entire Lebanese nation," he told a media conference after meeting Lebanese Prime Minister Fuad Siniora.

Howells's boss, Foreign Secretary Margaret Beckett, echoed those concerns in an interview with the Financial Times and said a ground invasion that Israel appeared to be preparing would create "a very dangerous situation".

"A miscalculation, a mistake, could have dramatic effects, and that I find deeply alarming," she said. "We have been urging caution and restraint on Israel from the beginning and we continue to do so with ever greater concern as time goes on."

The criticism marked a shift in Britain's stance on the conflict.

As recently as Friday, Prime Minister Tony Blair was supporting the US refusal to broker an immediate ceasefire and to pin all the blame for the conflict on the Lebanese militia Hezbollah.

Continued at Yahoo News...

Thinking back at that "open mike" conversation between Bush and Blair at the G8, wasn't Blair wanting an immediate ceasefire?

I made the mistake of trying to translate the Farsi language Iranian site using Google's Arabic to English - garbage in, garbage out.

Looks like 69.9 carries an hour that WABC doesn't. Her comment was in the first segment on 96.9 then their feed went into double and then silence except for breaks.

Tuned in to WABC for the repeat but it wasn't and finally 96.9 came back and the two were the same. So I'm thinking 96.9 has an hour that WABC doesn't carry.

So the Syrian pilots comments is gone. Then Monica was talking about NYT editorial and WABC cut her off.

I guess managing streaming feed is just too complicated a job for Americans to do.

The full article reads more like a rift in the British government (which is highly likely).
