Typical! It appears to have been many more demonstrators aganist Israel in Berlin than in Amman or Cairo.
Nothing against Germany in particular, just a usual Friday evening entertainment in an ordinary European capital.
Great picture!
Masses of reasons for any Jihadist to get upset about that one!
Elsewhere, on the Arab street:
Arabs hit streets to protest Israeli offensive CAIRO, July 21 (AFP) - Thousands of demonstrators took to the streets in the Arab world Friday to rally against the Israeli offensive in
Lebanon and Gaza, which one regional leader branded a "genocidal war". Clashes broke out in Cairo between police and protesters who had gathered after prayers at the Al-Azhar mosque.
Some police officers and demonstrators were injured. In Jordan, some 2,000 people marched through the streets of Amman while more than 100,000 people in Yemen turned out for a rally.
Sudanese President Omar al-Beshir accused Israel of targeting the Lebanese population, and Syria's information minister accused Israel of "state terrorism" and "war crimes". Iranian cleric
Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani hailed Hezbollah fighters as "heroes", but rejected mounting allegations that Iran and Syria were behind the movement's conflict with Israel. (Posted @ 20:54

Rice to announce international Mideast crisis plan WASHINGTON, July 21 (AFP) - US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will Friday announce first details of an international
diplomatic plan to tackle Middle East violence, a senior State Department official told AFP. She would speak about an emerging "international effort" working in partnership with Arab and
European governments, the official said. At the heart of the initiative was a "diplomatic plan that would help address the violence we are seeing and the root causes of that violence," the
official said. (Posted @ 20:32 PST)

From the ivory towers in Tehran (comments from Sunday, reposted Monday as Tehran Times' headline, site not updated since):
TEHRAN -- Israels dream to dominate Lebanon will never be
realized, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei
said here on Sunday during a ceremony held to celebrate the
birth anniversaries of the daughter of Prophet Muhammad (S),
Hazrat Fatima (SA), and the Founder of the Islamic Republic,
the late Imam Khomeini.
Ayatollah Khamenei condemned the Zionists recent atrocities in
Palestine and Lebanon and denounced the United States and
some Western countries for their support for Israel, saying that
the progressive and open-minded people of the world judge and
condemn the atrocities of the Zionists, and this will definitely be
effective.
He also denounced some Islamic and Arab countries for their
silence about the recent crimes of the Zionists, and said that the
human rights violations in Palestine and Lebanon over the past
few days have once again proven that the Zionists presence in
the region is a satanic and cancerous phenomenon that
threatens the Islamic world.

I suspect that Dr. Rice is in no hurry to put a peace plan on the table.
The rhetoric out of Tehran has gone mostly silent, could be they are retreating from claims they will not permit Hezbollah to be disarmed, to avoid losing face, could be they have decided that talk alone will not achieve their objectives.
thank you ad from the Kurds of Iraq on Fox.
Brought tears to my eyes.

Michelle Malkin's current vent.
To balance some of the negative analyses, a rather positive report. (I know fog of war and all that, but still....)

Halutz: Hizbullah loses 100 fighters
By JPOST.COM STAFF
"The fighting in Lebanon has cost the Hizbullah a high price," IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Dan Halutz said on Friday evening. "About 100 Hizbullah fighters were killed in IDF operations."
Speaking to reporters about the fighting in the North and in the Gaza Strip, Halutz said that the two facts that "the Hizbullah does not publish its dead or damage and has lied to the media are indicative [of its condition]."
Wasn't that a wonderful commercial! My screen got blurry too.
Update on Bolton nomination. Check out Joe Biden and Harry Reid. Just goes to show their support for Israel is B.S.
Bolton said he had spoken to Voinovich over many months on UN reform and other issues. We have been in quite regular touch in the course of the past year and obviously I am very glad of his decision, Bolton said.
White House officials said Bolton had already been re nominated and officials are discussing whether the committee should hold a hearing on him or simply seek a vote.
But Sen. Joseph Biden of Delaware, the Foreign Relations Committee`s senior Democrat, said the Senate should not vote on Bolton unless the White House turns over documents that the Democrats sought on his nomination last year.
Biden also said Bolton`s UN performance "confirms my conviction he is the wrong person for this job" and the administration should find someone else.
Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, a Nevada Democrat, also said he would oppose Bolton, saying, If I were the coach I would cut him from the team.
There were accusations then that Bolton used his position as the top US diplomat for arms control and bully intelligence analysts and manipulate intelligence to support his hawkish conservative views.

I wish they could run that more often. It's probably quite expensive.
Looks like minimal security is in place there, defenses flimsy, not always a bad thing.
Thanks. (Just sneaking on again for a minute.) Praising Chirac. Isn't that a nasty condemnation. Sucks to be him and all that.
Anyone have a guess of their operation strength? Is 100 a large portion of their fighting force or a drop in the bucket?
i think you are right, Israel is going to the Litani create a buffer zone and then put the ball in Hizbullah/Syria/Iran's court. Depending on their reaction will depend on whether Israel moves into the Bekka, which will create a whole new set of scenarios. I still don't see how ignoring the threat that comes from the Bekka serves Israeli interests in the long term. If you leave the Bekka alone you are going to leave one big headache for whatever beefed up international force that moves in later
