FBI Director Robert Mueller said this week that his agency busted a smuggling ring organized by the terrorist group Hezbollah that had operatives cross the Mexican border to carry out possible terrorist attacks inside the U.S.
"This was an occasion in which Hezbollah operatives were assisting others with some association with Hezbollah in coming to the United States, Mueller told a House Appropriations subcommittee during a Tuesday hearing on the FBI's budget.
Your post is a timely reminder, but it avoids confusion to search, and if you find it, just bump it to the top. (bttt)
Thankyou!
Terrorist values don't stop at the Rio Grande....
So, THAT'S why I couldn't find any corroborating news stories out there. I never take Newsmax's word for anything.
Don't know why, but we can't link to this site. But here's an interesting story:
What If We Were In The Shoes Of The Israelis?
After digging under the concrete barricade that had been built in 2004 between Mexico and the United States, a small band of Mexicans, members of a militant separatist group that had infiltrated key parts of the Mexican government, kidnapped three U.S. Border Patrol Agents and scurried them back to Mexico. In the last year or so, crudely-made missiles had been coming across from the south side of the border, mostly from the hotspots of Mexicali, Nogales, Nuevo Laredo, and Matamoros, and had been hitting U.S. towns and villages from California to Texas. It was the final straw for the current President of the United States who had been trying desperately to balance his War on Terrorism with some sort of accommodation with his countrys southern neighbor.
For the last decade, Americans had been subjected to the whims of Cuban-funded Mexican terrorists who had been utilizing suicide bombers to kill U.S. citizens in restaurants, shopping malls, buses and trains, all under the guise of the return of the Southwestern states to Mexico. At last count, more than 5,000 men, women and children mostly civilians had been killed in these bombings.
The U.S. government had tried for more than a decade to reach some sort of peace accord with Mexico, including uprooting the entire American population of New Mexico from just south of Alamogordo and west to Silver City. Giving up this land to Mexico had been instigated by the Republican President, a former army general and hero of the Vietnam conflict but had caused a year of rioting in many of the American side of the border towns. The land, so the militants had claimed, was once a part of greater Mexico, and had been taken illegally from Mexico during an earlier conflict. Now in control of the Mexican government, the militants still refused to recognize the Mexican-American border and continued to claim that most of the U.S. Southwest belonged to Mexico. Returning a portion of settled U.S. communities to Mexico as a peace gesture was this presidents version of Only Nixon can go to China, but it hadnt worked and now there were calls for impeachment from both sides of the House of Representatives.
It was well-known that Cuba had a hand in funding and training these Mexican terrorists but it was Venezuelas recent flood of oil dollars into the conflict that had the U.S. government worried. The United Nations had installed a contingent of over 2,000 peacekeepers along the border a few years back after France and Germany had brokered a U.N. sponsored peace plan, but there was evidence that they were standing aside as Mexican separatists operated along the border with impunity. After U.S. armed forces had began an aerial and artillery campaign against separatist strongholds along the Mexican side of the border, mounting criticism from Europe against the U.S. attack started, with politicians calling it disproportionate. And still, the rockets came from Mexico, with two more sophisticated projectiles landing outside of Houston, provided by Venezuela. No one wanted to say it, but the possibility of chemical or biological warheads were on the minds of the military. Houstons population was over 2 million.
5-7 years ago I could ride down streets in my town and see hardly never a law broken on my town's streets. now if I ride only a few hundred feet I always see something suspicious and or something illegal, a law being broken; this was not seen 5-7 years ago, and if you are honest I'll bet you are seeing, and witnessing the same. ;)
I have a dumb question (and I'm not a newbie!) but where does it bump it to?

"How about those Senate/House townhall meetings they were having? I haven't heard jack-sh*t of what's being said at them."
"We're looking out for you." (As an aside to an aide...Can I write three days here as an expense?)

GO ISRAEL!
Hezbollah needs to be irradicated and so does Iran's nuke facilities.
I don't think Israel is "over-reacting" at all.
Doesn't Hezbollah have any responsibility in the current crisis? Or have they been absolved from all responsibility because Israel decided to hit Hezbollah hard.
These terrorists don't give a damn about their own people. They could have returned the kidnapped men. Instead they continue to attack and REFUSE to let up. The world should be blaming Iran, Syria and Hezbollah.
Uh, no.
Not in my town.
What kinds of illegalities do you see, on a daily basis? And do you call the cops?
Unusual that Mueller admitted this. Of course not a surprise to us. The question is how many!

Me.....? a nobody.....
This is NOT good news.........duh! In fact, it is not news at all. We've known this has been happening for quite some time.
I just hope the word gets out to those who feign ignorance, or simply are not aware.
They're all busy now signing them up to vote. That's all that matters to them anyway.
