From what my friends said (who are trying to get out) as of yesterday afternoon Beirut time, no. They said that it was so chaotic with obnoxious and whining people that they were considering not going down today (Friday AM) and waiting until Saturday, purely because there were so many people pushing and shoving and bowling people over (and they seemed to be aiming for moms with small kids and the elderly...they have two young kids and what they didn't say sounded like they may have been saying that from firsthand experience).
It sounded like it was at least going to be another two days with crowds like there were Thursday AM there, based just on all the people waiting around hoping to get vouchers for that day or half the amount given out for the next day.
If they go down today and I'm in touch with them, I'll let you know their impressions of numbers still waiting that don't get on.
I suspect the numbers may continue to be steady if things continue to heat up as they have.
But that's just what I've heard from one family and their impressions of things...if that helps give any insight.
Thank you, I missed that one in my little rant... I loved it when O'Reilly told Bolton, tonight, that most of the US was sick of the UN ... Bolton didn't disagree with the assessment.
I can't stand the UN or the Corrupt Kofi!
bttttt his voice is so monotone.
Oh, Lord... negotiate with Iran? We need to bomb them back to the stone age (well at least their evil President)
I think that is where he said he was tonight.
LOL
Did anybody happen to catch at the very beginning of Greta's show the report of 16 IDF fatalities in engagements in southern lebanon, they even had it up on the ticker. Then about 10 minutes into her program there was no longer any mention of it. With Shep's mentioning of the media censoring re the helicopter crashes, i wonder if the 16 fatality figure has some truth to it but was pulled by the censors. 16 fatalites in lebanon in one firefight would seem to indicate a rather large force on the ground in lebanon
Thank you...yeppers, family is my game.
yep
Nite all. Going to sleep and pray.
You know...there's a lot of competition in TV News...very tight profit margins...even a few viewers (or non-viewers, as the case may be) from the conservative right, stepping away en mass from a given network, could make them or break them...but you have to be willing to give up the entertainment for a while.
The power to break the liberal media is in your hands, should you choose to exercise it.
Hey! Guess what? CNN has a war going on (must not be the same war as Fox's) with real live coverage! Wow, how do they do that???
Nite
Oh, my you sound like a version of me!!! I cannot be in the house without the TV on, drives my husband nuts sometimes... and I'm totally a H&G and decorating nut.
is CNN still reporting live? past 11?
