Michael Savage went weiner on Israel. Earlier this week, he claimed that the "Palestinians" (who are really just Arabs) are descendants of the Philistines and the Canaanites and that they had once been the rulers of Eretz Yisrael since "time immemorial" (a phrase he stole from Joan Peters, since she wrote on this issue), and that their claim to "Palestine" is equal to that of the Jewish people.
He also blasted Israel for overreacting and killing "innocent civilians."
That sure don't sound like the Weiner I've listened to before.
Then again, he went from supporting the Iraq war to thinking it is nuttin but Bush's quagmire. He gets my ear no longer.
I heard some of it today. Weiner shoots from the hip and is not disciplined enough to seek out information before shooting his mouth off. So what else is new?
Face it. The guy is a mental case. He was mostly uttering senseless drivel today. I just turned him off.
He doesn't care who it is directed at or if it's deserving, his need is OUTRAGE
Savage reminds me of many of the unappeasable's here on FR who wake up pissed off and go to bed 20 hours later pissed off.

Michael Savage? Are we sure about this? Savage the "Right Wing Barbarian"? Naw. Really? This Philistine nonsense wasn't true when the Romans fabricated it, Savage must be reading the wrong history books. The Palestinians are Bedouin Arabs, ethnically and culturally not particularly different from Bedouins of Jordan, Syria, Iraq, and Arabia.
Michael Savage is a pseudonym. His real name is Michael Weiner.
It's a play on words.
A friend of mine claims Savage's real last name is Weiner,
as in Oscar Mayer.
His real name is Michael Weiner. His real program is "The Weiner Nation".
He's a flaky, unstable, unreliable kook.
The fact is that Israel doesn't give a rat's rear end what Michael Savage, Pat Buchanan, CNN or anyone else thinks and they sure as hell aren't going to consult them on strategy. They have a mission and they are going to complete it (hopefully once and for all).

It ought to be "Wiener." Weiner in German is pronounced like "whiner." Then again ....
It was amazing to hear his rant that Israel should not have attacked the Hizb'allah bases
because they were not at the border.

Savage revealed what he really cares about this week - ratings. He's almost obsessed with his ratings in NYC. He's giving his audience novelty, keeping them off balance. Never sure where he's going next. In other words entertained.
I usually give him 5 minutes, then move over to Mark Levin.
