Hey I never made any accusations against the "religious right" and I know the left only supports science when it seems convenient. And don't forget we do have substantial common ground- the veto was fantastic. But please don't invoke Nazi Germany. It takes our (i would hope) friendly discussion to the next level.

I'm not accusing anyone, nor even implying that you would support Nazi experimentation, but you asked if I thought there were any benefit in embryonic research, and that was an obvious, if extreme comparison. I'm sorry if I didn't make it clear that there was no accusation of you in my reply. (I see why you thought there was).

My point was, that it doesn't really matter, since there is a higher value than the results of the research, and that is the sanctity of the life that it snuffs out.
