The RINOs who voted for approval should be made to worry about holding their seats come November. I wouldn't. A large majority of Americans supported this. The President stands alone with his Christian pals. This was not a Conservative veto, it was one that pandered to the Religious Right.

Why didn't we get private companies to take us into space?
Too much pork to be had using NASA and government contracts - if you saw some of the pork that Congress has forced down NASA's throat, you'd know that it's a valuable way for Congress critters to buy votes, I mean reward the voters back home.

The President, referring to the children present at the ceremony, all of whom were adopted as embryos and now living in loving families: If "it" can be adopted, then isn't "it" a human? Otherwise, it would not require adoption procedures to demonstrate "ownership" of "it".

Of all the legislation that he could have vetoed up to now (CFR and bloated budgets come to mind), he chooses this one to finally learn how to spell "veto"!Hey, this bill deserved vetoing, no matter what we think he should have vetoed in the past. I am not going to drag down the importance of this veto because of past failures to reject legislation.

Your claim that 70% of Americans favor embryonic stem cell culling is an outright lie.Because someone (LF) claims a belief, that does not make him a liar.
If you don't appreciate living in a country founded on the precepts of Judeo-Christianity then I'd suggest you vacate the United States.
Again you are making assumptions about (LF) and then suggest he leave the country.

What's interesting to me is how many people who call themselves conservatives are NOT delighted that their money is not going to be spent on this. I think the problem is that this has almost nothing to do with cutting spending -- the money will be diverted to other programs. And the amount of money PALES in comparison to the hundreds of billions of new socialist entitlements that have not been vetoed.
This was an ideological veto that had nothing to do with cutting funding, particularly since the amounts of money involved are paltry. That any funding might have been reduced is strictly coincidental.
I am quite okay with the idea of broad funding cuts, but to spin trivial, very narrow, and clearly ideological vetoes like this as "spending cuts" is an insult to the intelligence of anyone with two neurons to rub together.

Once they start to harvest embryos by the millions, that's when the trouble starts. This is NOT religion over science, this is life over death. Adult stem cells work just as well. I wish you science people would show some humanity.
