HEADS UP - BREAKING NEWS - IRANIAN THREAT - BREAKING ON FR .
REPORTS FROM IRAN STATE:
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadi-Nejad has declared he will make an announcement on Wednesday July 19th, 2006 which:
"WILL LET THE MOSLEM WORLD AROUND THE GLOBE KNOW THAT AFTER THE ANNOUNCEMENT THEY WILL NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT ISRAEL'S NUCLEAR ARMS OR NUCLEAR CAPABILITY EVER AGAIN"
This provides three possible scenarios:
1. Iran is about to nuke Israel.
2. Iran will declare they have nuclear capability with at least four missiles with NUCLEAR warheads (common knowledge in intelligence circles) that can easily reach all of Israel and threaten to use these against Israel if that country does not immediately cease attacks on the Hezbollah and Lebanon.
3. In the event that Israel does not comply, Iran will declare war on Israel and fire nuclear missiles, which would not leave much of a country over which any more fighting is logical.
HOPED FOR RESULT: Depending on the extent of damage to Israel and the ability of that country to continue as a nation in a radioactively polluted environment, already weak-kneed Western powers will call for creating non-aggression pacts with nuclear Iran.
You asked.....I explained. Still can't believe I even needed to. So what's your problem now?
Unfortunately, as small as Israel is, neither does Israel.
4. Ahmadinejad is talking out of his ass. Again.
They can kiss Mecca and Medina good-bye as well.
Ahmanutjob's days are numbered.
The threshhold of nuclear war by the U.S. is too great---even Reagan told his close confidants he did not know if he could retaliate with nukes if the U.S. was attacked. Moreover, the fallout winds would sweep both Iraq and Afghanistan, endangering hundreds of thousands of U.S. troops. It won't happen.
5:00 p.m. local time in Tehran...
Nice capitalization.
1. Ahmadinejad isn't Allah.
2. Israel & the US & the world are three.. not "both".
Calm down.
"LOL!. Hate to tell you this dude. If Iran nukes Israel, Iran has no major cities left."
There will be a flat black shiny piece of glass stretching from Iraq to Afghanistan.
"Iran can not have had time to sufficiently both develop nukes and protect them in impregnable bunkers."
"impregnable", hard to say. But the prized possessions of their nuclear projects are indeed deep underground.
I just never thought of it that way.You are right.
Wow.
Muslims will rejoice soon? I seem to remember that this was overheard in a captured phone conversation between Osama and the mastermind of 9/11, right before the attack.
Anyone wondering why Israel is not shooting down these short range POS? It is probably because they are ready for Iran just in case they decide to launch at Israel.
First things first though. NK has to get their missiles to Iran and I would not be suprised if Israel already knows this.
Next, Iran will have to launch over Iraq and Jordan to hit Israel. I am willing to bet the US has anti missile batteries somewhere in Iraq. I am also willing to bet there there is detection capabilities in Iraq that will alert Israel immediately if there is an Iranian launch.
Finally, Israel can launch from subs and from the air. Iran, if they are going to fly over will never make it because of fuel and American aircraft. Israel can fly over and be refueled by American aircraft.
The easiest thing for Israel to do is go to the floor of the UN and declare that if Iran does not pull Hebollah out from Lebanon in 24 hours and does not return the Israel soldiers in 24 hours, Iran will cease to be an oil producing country. And then blame Europe for siding with Iran.
I believe we get our oil from the Saudis anyway.
Does anyone remember the story about the Persian envoys threatening Sparta?
"If we invade your country, we will destroy your crops, your homes, and your women," the message sent.
The Spartans' reply: "IF."
We do, but Iran produces an awful lot of oil. If they're taken out their customers will go to Saudi as well as other places. The other countries would have to then limit what they sell to us.
Prices would rise out of control.
Whether that is acceptable is another question.
You're both right.
Your link leads to an unrelated story. Do you have anything else?
PING
Makes putting ANWR up for a vote again a nice political move.
