Good news and bad news. Jim Talent is way ahead of McCaskill in money raised and on hand, but the pro-stem cell coalition has a huge amount of money to spend and will be expected to hurt Talent's chances. The opposition (Missourians Against Human Cloning ) has order of magnitude less money to present the other side in this debate. I've sent what I could to Senator Talent; I don't think others should be discouraged from sending him their donations even though he is ahead of McCaskill in funding at this point.

The talented Talent is on his way to a 2nd term. I believe that MacCaskill is roadkill. It will undoubtedly be close but W flying in for Talent will help get him over the finish line.

Here's hoping Talent kicks McKaskill's arse.

I don't think most people really give a damn about stem-cell research and who supports what. It's probably "important issue" #29 on a voter ranked list.
