The Arab League are basically staying out of this, (they met last week) I saw a report last night that said they are all doing so well with the wealth created by the high gas prices that they don't want this to escalate and they are not so unhappy about Israel being in the neighborhood as Syria and Iran (and the terrorists)...

They just want peace and continued prosperity... then Sunday the Iranian madman sent a hand-delivered envelope to King Abdullah and he changed slightly in what he was saying, leads me to believe there was threat in that note.

MSexplorer sucks. I've been in the Mozilla family since Netscape 1.

I use mozilla instead of firefox cause I write too many html pages and they really don't have a good firefox addon to replace composer, as far as I know.

Probably was, but it's still not budging him all that far...and I don't really think they want to go back to a Persian Caliphate, which is what Iran would like.

I think most, if not all, of us Freepers get it, the press obviously doesn't (get it).

Not sure if you heard Helen Thomas at the WH briefing but she was insistent that the UN had voted a resolution to stop Israel from attacking Lebanon, and the US vetoed it.

Tony tried as much as he could to tell her it was not true.

She then said that the US could force Israel from firing on Lebanon and then went on an anti Israel rant.

Tony waited till she was done and than said "Thank you for the Hezbollah view, Helen."

As far as WMDs, it seems likely that they have them. Syria does, and Syria has been helping supply them. What I'm not sure about is what means of delivery they have for them.

I have a feeling those Zedzel missiles with the 1000+ lb warheads could be fitted with chem warheads

This was calm compared to Sunday -- Sunday he was over the top angry and saying some really wild things. For someone with his background, his business dealings (for the Government) have really colored his thinking.

I got the Beta Release of Netscape 1 ;)

Marc Andreeson's first browser, was it spyglass or something? I picked it up at Egghead. Don't know if they still exist.

I keep a copy of MSE around, but only use it for dire necessities.

No, I don't think they do. They know they are not in the position to take on Iran so basically have to try and stay neutral...

If Hebollah is smuggling weapons from Syria, why are they NOT a target? I just don't understand the penchant by EVERYONE to limit this conflict when it will do NO good for anyone!!
