Riiiight. I was always told that "he who tries to reason with a fool..." You cannot talk to these people (the terrorists) because we do not have a similar value system in any way. The only thing they seem to value is advancing their maniacal cause. They do not value their families, basic principles such as truth or justice or honor, they hide behind women and children because they are cowardly. If they would behave like an army and face our army and the Israeli army, then perhaps there could be a dialog. But these people are madmen who have care nothing for any civilization or anyone's life or anything other than themselves. Too bad we have too much conscience and values that prohibits US from engaging them in the way they have engaged us and others around the world. I wonder what would happen if we would start attacking them dressed in street clothes, carrying backpack bombs and set them off in front of their mosques? I think the UN would show a little more understanding and compassion for their pain than they have ever shown either us or Israel.
I have read that during World War II some of the bravest fighters in the American army were Japanese-Americans who were individually determined to prove they were Americans; this despite our national internment policy. This may exist among some American Muslims in the War on Islamofascism but not to the point where it has entered the public consciousness. It certainly does not exist as an issue of importance in their many affinity organizations; indeed their so-called leaders seem to expect Americans will swallow the same swill the Arab street does.
