It wasn't meant to be overheard. Private luncheon conversations among world leaders, picked up by a microphone, provided a rare window into both banter and substance - including President Bush cursing Hezbollah's attacks against Israel.
Bush expressed his frustration with the United Nations and his disgust with the militant Islamic group and its backers in Syria as he talked to British Prime Minister Tony Blair during the closing lunch at the Group of Eight summit.
"See the irony is that what they need to do is get Syria to get Hezbollah to stop doing this (expletive) and it's over," Bush told Blair as he chewed on a buttered roll.

"Good. Makes Bush sound like a real person. It's impossible to picture Hillary saying that for many reasons."
No, if it were Hillary it would have been "those F---ing Jews!"
Yep, and the prices go up each day... it´s like a vicious circle - we buy oil, they buy weapons, we start campaigns to stop them, the oil price is up, we buy oil,...
I believe that Russia, under Putin, uses proxy states (Iran, Syria, and Iraq under Saddam) as our antagonists.
Yup...and I do appreciate the Prez calling it what it is..."shit, excrement, BS, feces...islam!"
Really? Where is the bible does it say you shouldn't say "shit"? Please point out the chapter and verse.
The guy is human just like the rest of us. I love it.
I was kinda worried when I got up this morning and heard a breathless newsgirl (MSNBC I think) talking about Bush and an open Mike. But when I listened to what he actually said, my thought was, "So?" Sheesh, I'm pretty prudish about language, and I probably wouldn't have even blinked. And what he said was what we all know he (and every other civilized world leader) is thinking.

By their fruits you will know them - Bible
True:
No more attacks on our homeland soil
No hostage situations that involve hundreds of school children being killed
The respect and loyalty of many fine Christians
The respect and love of a woman who inspires respect and loyalty
Honors his parents and family
I am not looking for a debate about the current state of our President's soul. However, it seems somewhat presumptive to make the judgement call that he is not reading his bible everyday and that he has a 'heart' problem.
I would venture that the heart in question bears more of a burden than we are aware of. We all fall short of the glory, and sometimes we use cuss words. He is falliable, as we all are.
His use of sh*t has not caused this sister to stumble.
I question the 'heart' problem of the media that chose to print this exchange.
"I believe that Russia, under Putin, uses proxy states (Iran, Syria, and Iraq under Saddam) as our antagonists".
Yeah, he is a sleazy little punk.
I don't like to see Christians curse. I believe it hurts the body. But I don't see an out and out prohibition against it and I think that there's a larger heart problem on the part of the judgers and nay sayers against fellow believers. I can read my Bible every day and still sin, I'm sorry to say. But it doesn't mean Jesus is not in my heart.
As the bumber sticker says, he's "not perfect, just forgiven!"
"Really? Where is the bible does it say you shouldn't say "shit"? Please point out the chapter and verse."
You misread the comment.
How about if he says "Holy $#!+"?
Just by your "Johnny One-Note" postings.
Man for a second I thought GW said let's get those Mot#$@# F*&%#@s!
There's actually a verse about crude language, I think in Ephesians. I don't remember the exact scripture, sorry.

Good for Bush. Let 'em know he's still not the squishy pansy that the dim rats are.
