In April, Albright earned her group-think stripes when she told Canada’s The Globe and Mail that she considers being a woman an advantage in the realm of foreign affairs: "I think women are better listeners and we can relate better on a personal basis, which ultimately makes a big difference in high-level, international relations." Secretary of State Madeleine Albright was mistaken for a maid during last year’s peace negotiations for Kosovo in Rambouillet, France. According to a report in the "New York Daily News," the Secretary of State at first wasn’t recognized by the Albanian delegation when she walked into their room.

“One member of the delegation, who didn’t realize who she was, and probably thinking she was some cleaning lady because it was after midnight, simply said to her, ‘Give us five minutes and please go away,’” recalled Albanian diplomat Dugagjin Gorani in War on Europe, a British TV program. Instead, Albright exploded in rage, swearing at the group, according to the reports.

“Mrs. Albright started using explicit language which the translators never could translate into Albanian,” says Veton Surroi, another member of the delegation.

Doug, all that being true enough, I still am fascinated by the fact that the witch has chosen never to have shaved her legs.

Even Janet Reno refused her overtures.

And, that was before Alright Albright found her true Jewish heritage in the Sioux Falls "Who's Who".

What a scumbag she is. Makes my skin crawl just thinking she held the SecState office.

Wow. So, instead of trying to understand the differences in culture that would have led to the Albanian thinking of her as the cleaning lady (cue the liberal buzzword "tolerance" ), she uses profanity that should be beneath any SoS, especially when talking to a foreign delegation. Disgusting.

[ Albright has been called "tough" on issues, an "outspoken woman who tells it like it is." Unfortunately, she is generally tough on the wrong issues and has a flair for telling it like it isn’t. Even after it wasn’t. ]

This is good ------ Albright’s old boss, former National Security Adviser Zbigniew Brzezinski, commended her "people-handling": "She knows how to make people feel good about themselves," he said. This skill came in handy on her long climb up, during which Albright allied herself with, and in some cases made herself indispensable to, winners like Muskie, Michael Dukakis, Walter Mondale and Jimmy Carter.
