Sounds like an invitation to attack the embassy doesn't it? An attack on the embassy would certainly call Irans bluff. We owe them one.

TY. I was just going to say "authorities", but I got a little more specific than I should have.

What happened to the other hostage? He is in Gaza (apparently). There was a report by a senior Israeli military figure the other day, saying that all three of the captive solidiers are well. He did not say how he knows that.
I think that an embassy would be a relatively safe location, in the current situation in Lebanon.
To: gogeo
In fact we owe them 2, but is a long story.

Israeli soldiers being held at an Iranian Embassy isn't an act of war? Well, maybe if you're Jimmah it's not.

If true, do you know if that could be an act of war by Iran? It was an act of war in 1979 when they took American hostages within an embassy and it would be an act of war now if they took Israeli hostages into an embassy. Once a barbarian, always a barbarian.

Hostage Soldiers Are Alive
06:22 Jul 17, '06 / 21 Tammuz 5766
(IsraelNN.com) In a Sunday night telephone conversation with the families of hostage soldiers Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regev, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert stated that intelligence reports indicate the two are still alive. They were taken hostage by Hizbullah.
Mr. Olmert is planning to visit with the families later this week. The prime minister remains opposed to entering into negotiations with terrorists.

I didn't say it wasn't an act of war, I'm asking if it is.

Thanks for the heads up. Iran is calling the shots in Lebanon (Hizballah, as well as with Hamas, so Iran should be made to pay the price, and will, as this thing proceeds.
The public relations groundwork for full scale war against the Mullah controlled dictatorship is being issued as we speak in here.
Iran and Syria to blame, says Blair

I'd think so. But then I'm pro-Israel. It would certainly link them to the attacks by Hezballah.

I'd think so. But then I'm pro-Israel. I think so too and pro-Israel too. But I don't know the international law on this specific thing.

You're welcome, and I agree. I'm also hoping that someone is getting this word (the post and link over this thread) to IDF intel in a hurry, if it hasn't already happened. They'll digest any and all tips, and even some public messages aren't always brought to the attention of the right office in time.
