Iran would LOVE to have Israel hit them now. They would bring Syria into Lebanon and attack Israel. A war between Syria would divert the world's attention for about... oh, say, just long enough for Iran to finish its atomic bomb. Which is the reason they started this fracas in the first place.

If it is true, I don't know what anyone could do if they are in the Iranian Embassy. This is the kind of thing one could throw out knowing there is really no way to check.
