Well this is the whole rub here. The Lebanese army is pretty powerless to do anything. I know that people hate the UN and getting them involved but I ma open to suggestions who can actually disarm these people so we can actually have the Lebanese troops on that border and not Hezbullah.

The UN never disarmed anybody. The only way to peace is the complete destruction of the terrorist (that will disarm them)and their supporters as we had to do with the Nazi and the Japanese.

You can't honestly believe the
UN can do anything worthwhile, can you? Half, or better, of the UN are probably members of the hezzies, hamass, queda etc. If not members, then financiers.
open to suggestions who can actually disarm these people
Think.............

If they want to save their country, but are helpless to do so, the parliament of Lebanon could pass a resolution "inviting" a multi-national force to intervene and disarm Hezbollah.
Israel should not have to solely bear the full burden of disarming these terrorists who are a global threat.

The Lebanese army is pretty powerless to do anything. Why? We had all that public expression of "joy" a while back at possible liberation from Syrian control, and then ... nothing. Yes, it's tough; yes, Hezbollah are thugs and murderers, but instead of at least using this opportunity -- while the world's attention is so focused -- to at least condemn what Hezbollah has brought down on their heads, they do nothing but condemn Israel and whine and cower about how helpless they are.
There seems to be only two extremes in Middle Eastern culture: helplessness or wanton brutality.
To paraphrase Bernard Lewis, it's time Muslims and what's left of non-Muslim middle easterners start asking "What did we do wrong?" instead of "Who can we blame for this?"

...who can actually disarm these people so we can actually have the Lebanese troops on that border and not Hezbullah? Well, a good start would be for the legitimate government of Lebanon to declare war with Israel and about 3 seconds later surrender, inviting Israeli troups to occupy the country.
This would allow the Israelis to deal with Hezbollah on the ground and save the remaining infrastructure.
