I think there is a condition that hits people, called Running for POTUSitis....which makes them SO afraid of coming down firmly on ONE side of an issue...
that they confuse themselves in the process of trying to convince US that they know what they are talking about.
Newt tries to be TOO clever in his Bush bashing..and he is also afraid that what he says NOW, WILL come back to haunt him...ala John F'n Kerry.
