If Iran wants to be carpet bombed...so be it. Iran is messing with something way bigger than it can handle.

Iran warns Israel of unimaginable losses if Syria attacked.
Correction:
Iran sets itself up for unimaginable losses as it foolishly contemplates attacking Israel.
Bring it on suckers!

Iran has already attacked Israel and not just through words. Its official policy is to wipe Israel off the map. No one in Israel gives a damn what Iran says about them. There's an expression in Hebrew, "yehye tov" - "it will be alright." Israelis are using to being condemned by the world and they shrug their shoulders and go about their business. What other choice do they have? Iran can take its threats and stuff them where the sun don't shine.

Iran warned its arch-enemy Israel Sunday of unimaginable losses if it attacks Syria adding that the Islamic republic was standing by the Syrian people. That is worrisome. Iran has Chemical and Biological WMD. If Hizbollah got top line conventional Iranian arms, there is a possibility that they also got some unconventional ones. If they use one of those, time to get the suits out boys.

Bomb'em back into the 4th century where they belong and absolutely knock-off all silly talk of 'rebuilding' - from
anybody. Like darned near everyone else, I'm sick and tired of the Iranian's.
We've put-up with their BS far too long as is.

A careful reading of this statement makes it clear Iran is not prepared to take the step, in other words afraid, to publicly state it will render military assistance to Syria in the event of a conflict with Israel.

Remember everyone, the US has the abilty to put a swift end to the Islamic threat to the world. There's no need to allow millions to die while pursuing a "measured response" policy. That's nonsense that gets more people killed in the long run. We got the power,,use it, and move on.

While everyone here runs down the Iranians, I would like to mention that it is common knowledge that they have missiles that can reach Israel. They also have all sorts of nuclear material, they are very capable of building a dirty bomb and making targets in Israel uninhabitable for years.
This would almost certainly result in a nuclear response from Israel. And this leads where no one wants to go.
Similar radiation attacks here are also possible. I can personally think of several ways to obtain and detonate a radiation bomb here in any number of high value target areas.
Are we willing to go to nuclear war to support Israel? Actions have consequences, you would have thought we would have learned that already from 911.

I don't see how anyone could believe this Iranian threat.
Consider that Iran's primary goal is to defeat Israel and either kill or drive all Jews out of the middle east.
If Iran had the power to defeat Israel why wouldn't they say .. BRING IT ON!!!.
It is part of Muslim culture going back 1200 years. When they have the power to win the battle they play weak. They hope to entice their enemy to attack them. When a Muslim nation is weak they puff themselves up and claim to be invincible in hopes of bluffing their enemy into not attacking.
I think Israel has little to fear from Iran or Syria.
Look at France and Germany. They both suck up to the bad guys. Then what is an Israel to do to get support from Europe? Perhaps the Israeli's need to be so aggressive that the Europeans fear them more than Syria and Iran.
Many of us wonder why we have not seen a more aggressive action then what Israel has done. Perhaps they have come down with the Vietnam syndrome hoping that by gradually upping the anti that the Muslims will give in. We know that does not work. What works is what the Israelis have done in the past.... attack with overwhelming force quickly and decisively. But with Iran and Syria as the enemy it may take some days to get an over powering force into place.
I hope the Israelis have not adopted the gradualism approach. It makes the price much higher if they are to win, and it makes it likely they will lose.

I know the media and most people spell it:
HEZBOLLAH
The *real* name is:
HEXBALLAH
Only the Iranians would use Allah's name in a terror group.

I imagine that for Iran an "unimaginable loss" would be the disappearance of Tehran.

They may not be bluffing as Syria is the keeper of Saddam's lost WMDs and the Iranians know it. If the conflict escalates to that level expect that Damascus and Tehran will both be anihilated by nuclear weapons and we can hope the Israelis have one bomb saved for Mecca.

We hope the Zionist regime does not make the mistake of attacking Syria, because extending the front would definitely make the Zionist regime face unimaginable losses, foreign ministry spokesman Hamid Reza Asefi told reporters. So the existence of Syria is all that keeps Israel from "unimaginable losses"? I don't see what Iran can do.
