The sides have already been lined up, but I think Israel really caught them off guard by responding as it did. The Islamists thought they had more time. I only hope we don't give it to them now. Better to fight with them at a time of our choosing than of theirs.
The way I see it the side were already predetermined. What is at question is the level of participation each member takes. Pakistan will probably just issue rhetoric and that's it. Musharaf has been walking a line since 9/11 and will continue to do so from my estimate.
"Leader" is an ambiquous word, nothing on Dawn, still looking for a direct quote from Musharraf, or, barring that, AP's original article.
