BTT.
Thanks Karl!!
ping to new thread
Okay - Does anyone know where I can get some good streaming video (preferably an English Israeli source, next an Hebrew source - after that I'll accept scumbags like CNNi/BBC).
I've only got expanded cable and am stuck with the four losers of re-rundom.
That foul swine islam appeasing Chirac needs to le STFU.
OK. Who is Chrac talking to? Israel or Hezbollah? He very well knows that Lebanon did not have security and sovereignty before. How can they when a terrorist group holds the whole country hostage?
Chirac: Shut.Up.
Reference bump.

Morning all.
Karl, thanks for starting the new thread.
Thank you for the thread; great idea.
Someone has probably already reported this but just in case:
Arab news agencies report Hezbollah leader Nasrallah is hurt (Army Radio)
On CNN's newsticker an hour or so ago: US state department says only 4000 Americans can be rescued and sent to Cyprus, not 25,000. (They'll have to think of somewhere else for the rest.)
I've been staying current here. It's really appreciated.
bttt!
I'm a little tired but I just want to say thank you for this thread.
I haven't been sleeping too much in the past couple of days. However I will try to take a brief nap before the news shows because I was awake earlier to watch the news but now don't remember what happened.
And this is supposed to be my vacation. LOL
Okay, back to your regularly scheduled person who actually makes sense (after a little nap). :)
This is what the jihadists count on...the world community will immediately demand an end to conflict as soon as one side (especially Israel) dominates the terrain.
We're always told how---after the Beirut, Cole and Mogadishu disasters---the islamofascists concluded we wouldn't fight.
But I've always believed there was a more relevant and significant incident that gave them solace. Remember the "Highway of Death" at the end of the Persian Gulf War? We had Saddam's Republican Guard bottled up on the highway out of Kuwait. Our pilots were picking them off like fish in a barrel. It would have taken only a couple of days to eliminate them entirely.
But Bush the elder anticipated the world's horror at such a show of force and knew there would be condemnations---even though no Iraqi surrender had been tendered. At best, the world will only tolerate U.S. and Israeli power as long as we're losing or at a draw. As soon as it's clear we're dominating (and on the verge of destroying the threat), then the world says it must stop.
The jihadists reasonably concluded the world will always step in to save them from a total loss. And they were right...up til now. Though such mutterings are heard this time, there's really no heart behind the demands that Israel restrain its attacks. The jihadists are now realizing, too late, that the appeasers have run out of moral authority. Unlike Papa Bush, I think the IDF intends to shoot all those fish in the barrel...once and for all. And the appeasers will privately cheer.
