I was there. Huge pro-Israel counter-protest. And anyone walking by would know immediately who the enemy is. Let's put it this way, there were only American flags on one side (can you guess which one?). And the pro-Palis chanting slogans in favor of Hamas and Hezbollah didn't help. Not to mention the keffiyeh-clad terrorist wannabees and the headscarf brigage. The crusty old lefties chanted dutifully along and the "Jewish Voice for Peace" morons did their suicidal best to cheer for their own demise. The usual suspects...
Too much "peace" for me on the pro-Israel side (I'm a warmonger!), but good for the 250-300 people who showed up!
Notice the absence of American flags on the anti-Israel side.
If anyone hasn't figured out by now that Israel and America face the same enemy, they never will.
I can't believe there are Americans protesting in favor of Hamas. I see you pictures and just shake my head. How can people in our society be so incredibly misinformed? In SF no less. Don't they know what the Muslims would do to SF if they had the chance?

Seems to me, that in spite of a lot of charitable souls willing to risk a lot for their countrymen . . . a lot of countrymen deserve whatever early graduation from this life they seem to be seeking.

The Asian kids just happened upon the event (as far as I know) and joined in with the American flags.
This is pretty common in SF, where there's a large Asian-American and very patriotic (especially among the kids born here) population.
When we protested outside of Lowell High School for Cindy Sheehan's "appearance," we were joined by a bunch of Asian students who had relatives in the military or were in the JROTC (currently under attack from the school board, but that's another story...).
They certainly have nothing in common with the local lefty and pro-Pali crowd. And these young people really want to express their patriotism.

The problem is that "they" as in "The Arabs" NEVER did it "Israel's way." A day has never gone by where they tried to work out a peaceful settlement. From day one of Israel's existance, they've tried to destroy the country and kill the Jews. It's Israel's civility and restraint that's led to the situation we're seeing now. They really do need to get "midevil on the arabs' collective asses." Once the arabs are completely defeated and unable to make war, then maybe there's a chance for peace. Unfortunately, time after time, the UN has stopped Israel, but only after Israel's been attacked, beaten the arabs back, and begun to win. That's when the UN steps in... When Israel begins winning!
