I thought this could be a new thread for today. BurbankKarl's thread did well yesterday.

That's what Julie Banderas just told that jerk Martin Frost on Fox -- he said the President should be spending less time on his mountain bike and more time working talking to Iran, Syria, etc.. Julie Banderas told him that was a cheap shot and he came back saying he's ignored the ME for the last five years and she cut him off again... she did ask him who you're supposed to talk to when they are intent on destroying Israel no matter what -- he didn't answer.
I saw that, what a tool that guy was.

Lebanese PM will take control of Southern Lebanon; the Israelis have been upset that Lebanon didn't

Day late, dollar short, IMO. Israel has committed a bucketload of cash in calling up reserves, and the taxpayers expect their money to be spent to good effect.
If I remember correctly he lost his job when DeLay got the redistricting in Texas and had been very bitter towards anything GOP ever since.
I love her - and she is the one that went round and round with that nutcase wife of the church that protests soldier's funerals. I have never seen an anchor that upset.
That be her... she actually talked about it a week or so ago on another show, she's still steamed about that broad.

Israeli warplanes hit central Beirut for the first time and smashed the Hezbollah leadership's main strongholds, as strikes killed at least 18 Lebanese fleeing the onslaught. Patriot missile air defense systems in Haifa
just general area, lat and long unnecessary. We had three groups in the Pac last week doing an exercise. I hope they are in transit to Indian Ocean.
How's this.---DEATH to the NYT. or better yet Freepers should buy out Sousedberg and run it RIGHT!
Julie Banderas is one of the best additions to FNC of late. She doesn't abide fools.
Israel is done asking for favors and will take care of matters itself. The Lebanese government and military best stay out of the way.
Lebanon is split, 10 to 20 perent see Hezb as a positive benefit, per election results.
Israel is indirectly (for now) pressuring Syria and Iran to rein in the H twins, Hezbollah and Hamas, with surprisingly open US support.
If the bad guys fold, Israel will occupy parts of Lebanon for a month or so, and Hezb will not be sitting down for future Lebanese Parliament sessions, sore bottoms from a significant spanking.
If the bad guys raise and call, then everything from Mashad, in eastern Iran, and possibly Herat, in western Afghanistan, over to say, 20 miles northeast of the Suez becomes a war zone, theater one in WWIII, with the possible (early on at least) exception of Saudi, the rump states, Jordan, and Turkey.
I like people with spunk and not just readers.
LOL Sofaman--
I love this apt description -- it w/b added to my dictionary of 'quaint but descriptive phrases'.
Glad to hear your son is safe for the time being. May he return to you on Tuesday in tip-top shape.
We're ok now, but if things heat up, say around dawn Lebanon time, 8pm EST, the heavy graphics may bring down all of FR. It's happened on hurricane threads before.
At that point, links will serve better. Thx.
That's the first time I've seen a host come down on Martin Frost and he deserves it on most every appearance.
Another bloviating snotwad--
Thanks to Sofaman for that wonderful line.
"I just turned the television back on and hear that Syria has offered their resources to Lebanon."
I had to use quotes b/c I forgot how to post a thread when using html and I wanted to get this in here as quickly as possible.
Here's the thread on this--it may not be as bad as it sounds. Some are saying the offer was ambiguous on purpose, it could just be moral support.
