I thought this could be a new thread for today. BurbankKarl's thread did well yesterday.
Ooooh, you made my heart hurt. How very sad. Yes, they are diggers and can get out of anything.
We had a team of construction workers here building a new out building for us several years ago. Nanuk would not leave them alone. He wanted to play with them. So, I chained him to a huge cast iron barbecue grill, thinking that would control him while I made a quick trip to town. Coming home, on my way up the gravel road to our house, I saw him, still chained to the grill......but 3/4 of a mile from where I left him. Never did that again.
Amazing animals. The best.
lol! So now I'm feeling like a damned fool for sending it on to cable news. ;)
Sounds like my Mal...ROFL. I should have named him Houdini (escapes from anything).
nite.
Ahmadinejad is not only a fanatic, but a religious fanatic with power and weapons.
The very worst kind.
They didn't seem to bother them that the terrorist would use UN ambulances before, so I doubt they'll acknowlege it now.
I saw that, and others that make me hope there are many Lebanese, in touch somehow with the Israelis, on the lookout for Nasrallah and other Hizbullah bigshots and assets on the move.
Operation Change of Direction Continues

In the meantime, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert remains determined to continue military operations along the northern and southern borders until the rocket attacks are halted and the three captive soldiers are released by terrorists.
Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Siniora indicated that he is now leaning towards complying with United Nations Resolution 1559, calling for the Lebanon to assert its sovereignty over southern Lebanon, particularly along Israels northern border. Such a move would push out Hizbullah; something Lebanon has avoided doing since Israels withdrawal from Lebanon in 2000. Despite the international communitys acceptance of Israels withdrawal, including the United Nations, Lebanon has preferred to permit the terror organization to maintain control of southern Lebanon.
Israel Air Force fighter planes during the night continued pounding Hizbullah targets in Lebanon, including the al-Manara Hizbullah-run TV station and Lebanese coastal radar stations.
Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has vowed to continue the military counter-terror offensive until terrorists halt rocket attacks and return three IDF soldiers taken hostage in two separate attacks. Olmert has rejected the Lebanese call for a ceasefire, indicating Israel intends to continue to disarm Hizbullah to eliminate the threat to northern Israel.
In statements to the media last week, Defense Minister Amir Peretz stated this operation will create new realities, which do not include a Hizbullah presence along Israels northern border, stating this will no longer be acceptable as it has been in the past.
The attacks escalated over the Sabbath, beginning on Friday night, when Katyusha rockets slammed into Nahariya. Two people were killed, a 58-year-old grandmother and her 7-year-old grandson.
Following that attack, Hizbullah fired at an Israel Navy vessel 16 kilometers off the coast of Lebanon, in which a sailor was killed. Three other sailors are listed as MIAs, missing in action.
The Homefront Command continues to issue statements of calm, informing citizens that following Homefront Command instructions during this state of warfare will minimize injury to civilians. Homefront Command Chief Major General Yitzchak Gershon on Saturday night addressed the nation in a live televised address, telling Israelis that the situation is under control and northern residents should continue monitoring radio broadcasts and the Homefront website for up-to-date information regarding northern areas, remaining in bomb shelters and safe rooms, and more.
The cabinet on Sunday morning will convene for its weekly session, at which time rumors indicate Defense Minister Amir Peretz may declare a special situation in the north. Such a state-of-emergency would empower military commanders to close schools, roads and take other actions in line with ongoing military operations. Such as move most analysts believe is likely, as a growing number of northern residents seek lodging in the center of the country, tenaciously working to distance themselves from Hizbullah rockets.
In Haifa, Patriot anti-ballistic missile batteries have been positioned, a reality that analysts explain signals growing concern, stating the anti-ballistic missile batteries are intended to stop incoming projectiles more serious than the Katyusha rockets fired until now.
Katyusha rocket fire into Tiberias on the Sabbath also signaled another escalation in Hizbullah warfare, as well as attesting to the longer-range rockets in the terror organizations arsenal.
Military experts ominously predict that with the number of Katyusha rockets in Hizbullahs arsenal, at the current rate of daily rocket fire, the current situation could conceivably continue for months.
what nags at me thought, is he the third Anti-Christ?
His madness can't stop a sniper's bullet and it only takes one. My worry is that there isn't a sane one among the lot that can lead those people to get off their backsides and start building for future instead of securing their own destruction.
Hi rebel, I've been following your posts and praying for you and others there as well. Like others have said, we can certainly pray for everyone involved, you included. Praying for one doesn't preclude the other. Our God has ears for all our prayers. He's an awesome, all-powerful, all-knowing God! I pray you can find some peace in trusting Him during this time. He's promised to never leave us nor forsake us, and that He'll hear and answer all those who cry out to Him.
Hope you can get some sleep and that tomorrow you'll be evacuated safely. Godspeed.
He/she also stated that this was strengthening the relations between the non-terrorist people and the President of Lebanon and would make him stronger in the end. It was an interesting read of a person who basically was terrified....
What I've gleened from most of the blogs is a lot of people in the region actually want the US to come in and clean house and a lot of them don't dispise Israel at all and have been blogging back and forth across borders trying to find middle ground and if the terrorist groups were gone this would be a much happier region that probably could live alongside Israel.
Oh gosh,
I forgot to mention to all what this has to do with anything.
Dogs and cats, yards, and fences.
They all make for good neighbors in my experience.
The gardeners who you might not know, like the folks that make flowers bloom in the area of so called Palestine where before there was a boatload of dust but no men....
Those gardeners and their brethren are the ones who are interested in keeping order in a place formerly without any such thing.
You can go through this life w/out ever having read Genesis, but that won't change the facts.
Show us all the lying dead baby pictures that you like.
If you ain't with Israel, then you are on the wrong side of the All!
We won't know until after the fact.
Really interesting reading, isn't it. Gives a totally different view than we get on cable tv.
No dawn ground offensive, one of the Merkova's must have had a flat tire.
Dinner's ready, I'm out for a few.
Be good all.
"What is it with FReepers and Huskies?"
Guess we're just smart enough to know good/great dogs when we see them.
They really are the best, but I guess you know that.
Sorry about Kody. I know how that feels.
CNNi is live in Israel.....no one on the streets.
He sure acts like it. It's a scary thought!
