Yes, you understand.

I watched my little puppy live under a lock and chain for years.

We built a fence in order that she could run around the yard.

Huskies I learned are natural born diggers. She always got out under the great new stockade fence, and into trouble.

What to do?

She got out one day, and the car hit her, and I spent a couple thousands bucks for the surgeries needed.

A few years later, I was enjoying her enjoying of the neighborhood street and the traffic, children, and other puppies.

I was looking right at her when she jumped up and yelped, then died.

I got her ashes right there in the other room in an urn.

She was of the most wonderful species of Dog in God's good Creation.

In response to the continuing rain of Katyusha rockets on northern Israel, the IAF bombed early Sunday the building in Beirut from which the Hizbullah-run television station, , is broadcast.

It was the third time in recent days that the IDF has targeted the building.

Earlier, the IDF attacked Hizbullah's main headquarters in southern Beirut as it launched a new bombing raid on the Lebanese capital's southern suburbs.

Thanks. I've been wrong plenty of times and am hoping I've got it wrong here too. It can be unsettling to try to put yourself in the shoes of powerfully disturbed people with powerful weapons. It is indeed scary. I once had to deal with an ill family member who was lapsing into psychosis and would not seek treatment for his condition. It was an experience that lasted for months and I won't easily forget it.

When I saw the bootleg video of the Iranian President sitting on the floor during that supposedly private meeting with some clerics after the UN speech, and he was describing how the assembled heads of state had descended into an unblinking trance for over 20 minutes while he delivered the message of God, and that an aura of light had surrounded him while he spoke, I saw the look on his face when he was describing the experience. And I said to myself . . .

I'm not a doctor, but I know that look.

One of the Lebanon blogs I was reading said the Hezbolla radicals have taken to the sewers until the war is over and will emerge when it's over and start all over again.
