HARTFORD, Conn. --Former President Bill Clinton is sticking up for U.S. Sen. Joe Lieberman and his support of the Iraq war.
[snip]
"If we allow our differences over what to do now in Iraq to divide us instead of focusing on replacing Republicans in Congress; that's the nuttiest strategy I ever heard in my life," Clinton told the nonprofit cultural organization.
Audio of Clinton's comments was posted on the Minnesota Public Radio web site.

Translation: "I'm making way too much money off things the way they are."
Is this suppose to be the good cop, bad cop routine the Clinton's are playing??
Ok well it sounds like though morally retarded, he does have some common sense.
I propose a new drinking game. When you read a Clinton quote or hear him talk on TV, knock back a shot each time he uses the word "I", "me" or "my."
I do not give a crap if Joe Lieberman loses.
Why would Clinton care?
I can't see it as being in what I thinks his interests would be.
Curious stuff!
Clinton is a very smart guy. Most sociopaths are.
I agree with Bubba. The rats should continue to not have unified position on Iraq. They should focus on trying to beat the Republicans without a message or a plan.
Oh nooooooooo...you'd be under the table, in five minutes; ten, tops.
Which by the way means that my "optimism inclined" mind suspects that Billy boy is contemplating divorcing Hillary next year. A playboy like him wants to take his money and live it up while his heart holds out.
He doesn't strike me as the type who will enjoy the emasculated status of being the First Gentleman. He is a chauvinist of the worst kind, which makes his popularity among liberal woman puzzling. Living in the White House, on a leash isn't likely to appeal to him. Especially when he won't be the one in charge.
(Some would argue that he was never in charge, but that's a minor issue. Clinton has been concerned with appearances more than actual facts for most of his life.)
Based on BJ's track record... "Bye-bye Joe". Thank you for your service.
You'd die of alcohol poisoning.
My thoughts exactly.
Playing both sides of the fence is MUCH more covert when the deadly duo dances together.........separately!

On the issues, Lieberman is the most like Clinton... with less charisma and less compulsive lying.
It's interesting that the Clinton worshipers are trying to kick Lieberman out of the party.
My first thought was, what did it cost Lieberman to have Clinton come out and support him?
And this from a guy who knows something about nutty strategies.
The Clintons can't have it both ways.
Very true. But I'm wondering if Hell has frozen over.
