The news came swiftly Thursday afternoon. Now that Robert Novak had finally revealed one last secret in the ever-fraudulent story about Valerie Plame's identity being leaked, we could put it all behind us and promise never to mention it again, right?
No, for some strange reason – specifically sycophantic vanity – Valerie Plame and Joe Wilson have filed a lawsuit against Karl Rove, Dick Cheney and Scooter Libby.
Their stated reason?
Specifically, to accuse, "Cheney, Rove and I. Lewis 'Scooter' Libby of participating in a 'whispering campaign' to reveal Plame's CIA identity and punish Wilson for criticizing the Bush administration's motives in Iraq." .......................................................
If any criminal conviction comes out of the matter, and it is looking less likely that there will be, it will be because Scooter Libby might not have said the right thing at the right time. But there was no evidence, not one scintilla, that Rove or Cheney did anything other than to casually acknowledge what Robert Novak had already revealed to them.
But, typical to form, the single most attention-hungry couple in America – and trust me, to beat Bill and Hillary in that department is saying something – the Wilson-Plames are now off to civil court to get cold hard cash for the possible "destruction of her career."
Did I miss something? Did Valerie get fired at the CIA? And since she wasn't active or covert, how exactly did any in justice take place?
Joe Wilson and Valerie Plame need to be flicked off the shoulder of America like the little gnats that they are. They need to regain a certain amount of personal dignity before speaking ever again. But what is completely sad is that they are so unaware of how silly and foolish they look that they just keep on going.

The MSM signed an amicus brief:
36 major news organizations and professional reporters' groups (including CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, Reuters, The Associated Press, The Tribune Company, The Washington Post, The New York Press Club and The White House Corespondents) insisted that "no crime" had been committed in the "Plame Leak" case because, among other things, Valerie Plame's identity had previously been disclosed to both the Russians and the Cubans!

Wilson lied again today in his press conference when he said that nothing he found in Niger supported the Bush administration's contention that Iraq was trying to purchase uranium.
Here we have the reason why the left pretended to be upset about the outting of a non-covert CIA employee; Wilson was lying to the American public that Bush lied and that served the Democrat's purpose. Never mind the fact that it is Wilson who lied:
The panel found that Wilson's report, "rather than debunking intelligence about purported uranium sales to Iraq, actually bolstered the case for most intelligence analysis."

To this day, British intelligence maintains that Saddam Hussein sought uranium in Africa, recently underlined by a report from The Financial Times of London. The British government states "European intelligence officers have now revealed... human and electronic intelligence sources from a number of countries picked up repeated discussion of an illicit trade in uranium from Niger." The New York Times paraphrased the above with a clear-cut story titled: "Intelligence Backs Claim Iraq Tried to Buy Uranium." The essay leaves no doubt as to the claim of Bush in January 2003 that Saddam Hussein was not only was trying to procure uranium, but had been for years.

Wilson misled the Washington Post in June 2003, when he told the paper that the Niger intelligence was based on documents that had clearly been forged because "the dates were wrong and the names were wrong." In fact, Wilson had never seen the reports.
When the Senate committee staff asked Wilson how he could have come to that conclusion, Wilson replied that he may have "misspoken" (See first paragraph) to reporters.

And then there is the matter of the bios. Wilson published the NYT editorial stating that he had a project with the CIA (that focused on her particular area of expertise) which was in itself a significant risk to his wife's supposed cover because at least 3 of Wilson's bios on the internet listed Valerie Plame by name as his wife.
