Lamont is a limosine liberal, a hypocritical leftist liar. Leiberman isn't perfect, but he's least offensive Democrat in DC.
Go Joe! Better Dead than Ned!
Actually, what am I saying!! Go Ned!!
If Ned wins, Joe will run as an independent....can anyone say "Republican wins in CT!"
Actually, a Lamont victory in this primary would throw what's left of the Democratic center into turmoil and confusion. They'd have to actually face Kos and his minions and do something about them.
The deeper left the Democrats go, the better for Republicans.
Man, the moonbats really, really hate Lieberman, don't they?
An outcome that the snivelling writer is apparently prepared to accept.
Would he feel the same about New Haven?
Although Joe Lieberman is the better of the two, I would not be disappointed if he lost, in the Dem Primary, for these four (4) reasons.
#1. He will run as an Indy and that could help the Pubbie candidate, if anyone ever finds out who that might be.
#2. It will further divide the Kooky, left wing of the DemocRAT party from the minority, hawkish/centrist wing of the party. Let them beat each other's brains out. It could be the end of the Scoop Jackson / Harry Truman Democrats.
#3. If he is forced to run as an Indy and wins, it will be hell to pay in Washington for the likes of Hillary Clinton and Maxine Waters who refuse to support his re-election bid and especially those (like Maxine) who even publicly campaigned against him.
And,
#4. Who knows, after being elected, he might switch to the GOP.
...can anyone say "Republican wins in CT!"
I'd love to say it and I CAN say it but, it ain't happenin'.
The RNC needs to get behind him instead of supporting Lieberman de facto. Lamont, Lieberman they're both socialists.
I would vote for Lieberman
The guy seems to know RIGHT from WRONG....
...unlike other parisan Democrats...
"Right" is the starting point for the next big LIE!!!!!!!
" Lamont has an earnest and likeable Mr. Smith quality to go with his anxious mien, which made his innocent faux pas all the more endearing. Like when he said that there are 11 or 12 billion undocumented aliens in the country."
I have a sneaky suspicion that this Gogola guy doesn't find Bush's "faux pas"s quite as endearing...
Last week, Leiberman said that he votes with Democrats 90% of the time and the other 10%, he has votes with conviction with the Republicans. Then he said that Lamont votes with Republicans 80% of the time. If that's true, then Lamont is the better choice. If it's not true, Lieberman doesn't come out looking good.
This actually appeared in a newspaper?
What pathetic times we live in when this person is paid for his hatred.
It will be a good thing if the country actually gets to see what the grassroots Dems actually believe. Go Ned!
"The deeper left the Democrats go, the better for Republicans."
That's true in theory, but Republicans have complications of their own. Their nominee has been revealed to have a gambling problem, and once was thrown out of a casino for counting cards while playing under an alias.
I would vote for Lieberman

Actually this would be a better country of the opposition would say something like "We disagree with PRESIDENT Bush on this, and here's why . . . " Instead of everything being "Bush is a nazi!"
This actually appeared in a newspaper?
It is a leftist rag.
The New Haven Advocate is one of those free newspapers with the last third filled with personals and sex advertisements.
Thanks. These days it's hard to tell the 'real' newspaper from the tabloid from the street rag.
We have a strong rooting interest in this race. If liar-man comes only as an Indy, the rank and file rat will come out of their holes and vote for him. While they are their they will be feeling their rat "oats" and vote against simmons shays and johnson. rinos, yes but we need them to vote for Hastert on day one next January.
