Hope they don't get in the way of one of those Israeli mortars. I think.

Too bad he's not in Lebanon now. Specifically, sitting on the runway at the Beirut airport.

Too bad he's not in Lebanon now. Specifically, sitting on the runway at the Beirut airport. Whenever I read about Americans meeting with terrorist groups, in this case advising them, I wonder just where the line is drawn. What do you have to do to be considered supporting a terrorist group?

That's one of my favorite flicks, but I don't remember that line.
I do remember these:
"Dyin' ain't much of a living, boy."
and
"I notice when you get to disliking someone they ain't around long neither."

Noam points out the importance of separating policies emanating from Washington from public opinion in the US, with the latter often at odds with the former. Given the nature of electoral politics today in the US, he also points out that officials in Washington are usually elected by a minority of the population and represent two parties that are virtually indistinguishable on fundamental issues, and hence the importance of reaching out to the US public ahead of policy makers who are beholden to corporate interests [and unionized labor].Good gravy, I've found a Noam Chomsky quote I can almost agree with!
To: garyhope
Let him know that. His email address is:
chomsky@mit.edu
He truly "loves" to be referred to as "Norm" instead of "Noam"!

I'd like to say something nice about Noam Chomsky...........He's got that drooling thing pretty much under control.......His mother loves him........He's consistant....consistantly stupid, but still consistant.

And how did Noam make his money? The same "Military Industrial Complex" that he condemns. He wrote computer programs for them ......and still probably does. But let's keep that a secret, OK?
