It seemed liked the ultimate fun and family-friendly wedding.
With so many children due to attend, Amanda Morris and Scott Lee decided a two-day wedding celebration at Alton Towers would be the perfect way to get hitched.
They paid £5,000 to book a lavish ceremony at the attraction's hotel and planned to spend the first day of their honeymoon on the theme park rides with their 60 guests.
Unfortunately the happy couple did not realise their day out would clash with a special Muslim fun day that means married couples will be banned from going on rides together, all women must cover up their bodies in accordance with religious custom and alcohol is forbidden...
...Miss Morris and Mr Lee, a 30-year-old market stall holder, have been engaged for six years and booked the wedding 18 months ago - before the park was hired out to an Islamic company for the fun day aimed at 'integrating Muslims into the wider community.'

Seems to me the other way around. Muslims are integrating THEM to THEIR community..no riding with your wife, women must be covered, no booze..ROFL..and they call this integrating Moozlims????
Among the other changes that will affect the usual atmosphere is a ban on music and the serving of Halal food only.
Sounds like a lot of fun to me...
LOL! Muslim and funday - two words I never expected to see in the same sentence! :D
And this is an attempt to integrate Muslims into society?
...before the park was hired out to an Islamic company for the fun day aimed at 'integrating Muslims into the wider community.'
And where exactly has there EVER been a successful muslim integration......????????????????
The answer is simple .... NOWHERE
I don't get it. If the couple rented the park 18 months before the moslems, wouldn't their rental take precedence? Isn't it the moslems who should be SOL? I read the whole article, and if there's an answer to this in it, I missed it.
"Unfortunately the happy couple did not realise their day out would clash with a special Muslim fun day"
How could they have known, it was booked BEFORE "the park was hired out to an Islamic company."
Well it depends on how you look at...small wedding party vs. 28,000 muslims...personally I'd sue Alton Towers for false advertising. Their wedding brochure states, "We cater for every taste and type of wedding, from small and intimate to full days of celebrations." Their wedding is not being catered too.
Wonder what would happen if a Christian festival banned gays...
Sue for breach of contract.
I guess it just goes to show that apparently not all Muslims are terrorists....many are just regular human beings that have families.
Partial refund? They should pay at least double or triple. This is breach of contract.
"personally I'd sue Alton Towers for false advertising."
Although the first part of the advertisement is true - it certainly will be memorable:
"Find out just how memorable your big day could be. We cater for every taste and type of wedding, from small and intimate to full days of celebrations. Call 01538 705035 for further information."
