Mayor Gavin Newsom said Tuesday that if Democratic leaders do not quickly rally around Democratic gubernatorial candidate Phil Angelides, he will lose to Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger in November.
Newsom suggested that Democrats who hope to run in 2010 were undermining Angelides out of their own personal ambitions. Whoever runs four years from now will face better odds if there is no Democratic incumbent.

Just a reminder, Newsom started to issue marriage licenses to homosexuals, Angelides said he will sign the bill legalizing homosexual marriage ( which Arnold vetoed, Arnold also stopped the homosexual marriages in SF).

Grits, instead of potatoes, and eggs, at least used to be what was normally served as breakfast in restaurants in the "Deep South". Particularly in Georgia, Mississippi, Louisiana, maybe Arkansas...not so much in Texas. Probably not much in South Florida, either, since many of the "white" folks are transplanted New Yorkers, anyway, and we all know what bagel eaters those folks are...

It's quite sad, because the sane people from California sincerely wonder why nearly everyone in flyover country looks at them with suspicion when they learn where they're from.

SF will hold its nose and vote for Angelides. Angelides just said he'd overturn the will of the people to make gay marriage "legal" -- translation: "Vote Angelides: He's a crook like the rest of us!".
Somehow I don't think I would want these guys rallying behind me..........if you know what I mean.
