Yesterday evening the President and Mrs Bush attended a dinner held in honour of Eunice Shriver, founder of the Special Olympics
Today the President presented the budget, visited a shoe factory and also atteneded a fund raiser.
Congratulations to Vice President Dick Cheney on the birth of his 5th grand child who has been named after him.

Jonathan weighed 7 pounds, 4 ounces and was born at 11:19 a.m. at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington Tuesday, July 11, 2006. His parents are Liz Cheney and Phil Perry, the daughter and son-in-law of the Cheneys

I know we get the "Chunky" candy "square". Or at least we used to. It's the square thick bar with the raisins and nuts in it. Haven't seen one for awhile, so not sure if they are still making it. Never seen a kitkat that was chunky though.

oh yes..there is still the chunky...walgreens and the dollar tree both have it!!!! yummy!! Oh that's good to know. I used to love them. I'll look for them again. Don't have a Walgreens or a Dollar Tree, but I'm sure they're around here somewhere.

I have to say (and I haven't see the comments--I may be in the minority), I think those shoes are awful! :)
The baby, though, is darling. I had to look at the date as it looks so similar to one of their previous pictures with a new grandchild. A lovely photo, for sure!
