BOB NOVAK, My Leak Case Testimony: 'I learned Valerie Plame's name from Joe Wilson's entry in 'Who's Who in America'... MORE Published reports that I took the Fifth Amendment, made a plea bargain with the prosecutors or was a prosecutorial target were all untrue... MORE... My primary source has not come forward to identify himself... Bill Harlow, the CIA public information officer who was my CIA source for the column confirming Mrs. Wilson's identity. I learned Valerie Plame's name from Joe Wilson's entry in 'Who's Who in America'... I answered questions using the names of Rove, Harlow and my primary source... I considered his wife's role in initiating Wilson's mission, later confirmed by the Senate Intelligence Committee, to be a previously undisclosed part of an important news story. I reported it on that basis.
I just saw Brit's report on this...AMAZINGLY HILARIOUS...
All of this crapola about Cheney, Rove and all...and it was something that JOE WILSON put into his Who's Who bio....LOL

Which is why this isn't and has never been a story. How can you commit a crime by telling a reporter what is part of the public record?
Oops - I meant to post to someone else on another thread who remembered that a stranger approached Novak on the street about Plame. Sorry.
Not sure how any of this will play out because even drudge is confusing at this point.

Why hasn't the case against Libby been dismissed yet? Perhaps this will be a kicker to get Fitzy to stand down, dismiss all charges, and get a grip. HOpefully. Can you imagine how Matthews would react if all charges against Libby are dropped????? Too funny.

IIRC Freepers thought that was where Novack got the info...I remember reading the Who's Who bio here on FR...
This doesn't sound like Novak is going to tell the public who his primary source is. We'll have to wait for the book. And the sequel.

It was funny! And you know, right from the beginning, people on FR had found that W-W entry and guessed Novak could have gotten it from there. Wilson is such a maroon!
You'd think we actually *know* these people, the way we've been living this saga and know the minutiae .. LOL.
