Doubtful that it is true but I worked in NYC with traders in the 80's and it is scarry just how they get the news first.
Anytime I hear a geo-political rumor I look at the markets.

Cohiba Lanceros are one of my favorite smokes. With those sticks being at least ten years old, you are in for a real treat. Assuming of course they aren't plugged.
I have discussed this at length with some of my smoking friends. My conclusion is that when cuban cigars do make it here, look for the prices to rise dramatically.

Noooooooooooo way....I put my single malt on top of the chipped ice to cool it only so it does not evaporate at all whilst I sip it slowly and swap lies with my friends. It is cool to the tongue and soothingly lubricates my throat as it passes by. God forbid I would ever serve it on ice.

Even so, there are occasions where wild extravagances are accaptable.
One occasion is when I get crab cakes by air freight from Stoney's Crab Shack in Broome's Island, Maryland. (See stoneysseafood.com)
The other is when I get Wagyu Kobe beef ribeyes from Allen Brothers and cook em on the wood grill.

That actually is an external channel meant for foreign consumption, so it may not reflect what is being shown inside Cuba.
