Srinagar attacks aimed at derailing peace process: Duggal
New Delhi, July. 11 (PTI): India today said the serial grenade attacks in Srinagar today were aimed at "derailing" the peace process in Jammu and Kashmir and said state police had leads about the culprits who would be nabbed "very soon."
The attacks were aimed at "derailing the peace process", Union Home Secretary V K Duggal told reporters here and made a veiled attack on Pakistan saying training of militants, supply of equipment and their support structure was "not possible without strong backing."
"We are constantly in touch with the Jammu and Kashmir Police. They have leads. They will get these people very soon", Duggal said while responding to a question on the involvement of local elements in the attacks.
Home Ministry sources said the Director General of State Police has been asked to make a breakthrough in the probe into the attacks in 48 hours.
He said "the government strongly condemns the most cowardly act on innocent, unsuspecting tourists. Nobody has claimed responsibility as yet but we know we are going to get them."
Blast in Mumbai's suburban train
A bomb blast rocked the first class compartment of a suburban train in Mumbai's Khar station on Tuesday evening as the peak hour commuter traffic made its way home.
The Western Railway emergency service confirmed the blast, and said further details were awaited.
Does CNN have their liberal sob stories about the "youths" (who are just poor and misunderstood) (the problem is NEVER money) already written? And possibly already on tape???
The Mad Methodists have struck again?
Let me guess: the Seventh Day Adventists?
This has to be in response to India launching the nuclear capable missle a few days ago.
These are definitely NOT muslims setting off the bombs. My AOL pop-up news homepage identies the bad guys as "Kashmiri militants." So there!! You right-wing nut-jobs always jumping to false conclusion.

At least eight persons, including six tourists from West Bengal, were killed in Srinagar blasts. (With PTI inputs)
"Video from one station showed people with blood on them being treated, other commuters carrying victims and some people lying motionless near train tracks. (Watch rescuers pull blood-covered victims from wrecked trains -- 1:59)"
I'm getting really tired of CNN and a few other on-line news pedalling gruesome film clips. "Watch as baby gets mauled by pit bull", "Watch family react to news of son's death", etc. It's sick.
MSNBC:
Confirmed, 135 fatalities, so far.
I'm shocked that nobody has mentioned the obvious suspects for this act of terror:
Serbians.
Well, at least Hollywood would find some reason to insert Serbs or anybody
other than Muslims as likely suspects for this atrocity.
