I came into the newsroom Friday morning and expected to see a lot of long faces. We liberals had taken such a whipping on Thursday that the Friday paper was filled with bad news. I'm sure our night staff worked hard to slant things, but sometimes things go so badly that even the valiant efforts of the left-leaning Main Stream Media aren't enough to hide the truth.

The Supreme Court for one.
What do conservatives have to be angry about?
Getting sold out on illegal immigration?
Having to fight two wars abroad whild fighting the libs at home?
Having to deal with a fifth column media?
How's that for starters?
I walked over to the photo desk to chat with a friend. His job is to look through the hundreds of photos we get every day from the wire services and pick out the most unflattering one of President George W. Bush. That is not easy work.
I was 3/4 of the way through the article when I realized the writer was trying to be sarcastic. Unfortunately for him, I think there is more truth than fiction in the first part of his article.
Well, for one...leftist newspaper hacks who think chimp jokes about Dubya is still either novel or funny.
Doh!
Don't worry, this MSM clown is a dying breed. He and his ilk will be toast sooner rather than later.
Anybody want to argue about the MSM being liberal with this guy? Maybe Eric Alterman should add this STL idiot to his last hatefilled book about the liberal media being a myth.
Democrats can't understand that it is not enough for conservatives to be in power...it is enough for them. This why they supported Clinton even though he did things that were not popular with the base. We actaully want our elected officials to push the conservative message.
They are at the writer's of this article small home base, the DUmpster.
I think he was saying those things tongue-in-cheek.
Most of the bias that gets printed is not overt as in "Lets find the worst picture of Bush that we can". It is subconcious as in "I hate Bush so I tend to choose the worst picture of him without realizing it"
good point. That's why the kook, moon-bat left kept their mouths shut during much of Clintoon's term.
It's a satirical piece--he's "showing" how "ridiculous" it is to think such things go on in the newsroom. So E&P won't pick it up because it's actually intentional humor.
He appears on a local PBS show every week where he and three other liberals "argue" over the issues of the day. This guy always looks hung over and unkempt. His hair is often uncombed, and his tie is always loose. He makes a very poor impression if we're to take him seriously at all.
The MOST glaring error in this lib's story is: "In fact, Clinton was the guy who pushed through welfare reform."
NOOOOOOOO, he didn't. He vetoed it twice, and was finally forced to sign it. And now that it's worked, he's still taking credit for it. It was the Republicans who got it through congress.
Sounds to me as if the writer is a little bitter and sarcastic, but trying to dress it as satirical humor (unsuccessfully).
I've never watched the PBS program. I've only lived here for about 9 months. I'm still trying to learn the politics of the area (I'm in St. Charles Co.)

I expect elected officials to advance the conservative policy
