Dan Rather will announce his new relationship with HDNet at the TCA press tour this week, Howard Kurtz reports.
Rather "has agreed to launch a program called 'Dan Rather Presents.'" HDNet owner Mark Cuban describes the show as "an opportunity to do news in what I like to call 'fearless mode,' what Dan calls 'with guts.' Go out there and find the stories we think will have impact." More...

One only wishes (forgive me Lord) that this had been dangerous dan's mother. It would have saved the nation from a myriad of lies, deceit, twisted facts, unsubstantiated rumors, un-named sources that didn't exist, faulty leftist logic and other assaults on the very foundation of the Republic.

Well, sort of. Like Hitchcock, Dan Rather's show WILL be fiction and Rather will try to scare people (into thinking George Bush is an evil monster, of course). But Hitchcock's stories were more believable than many of Gunga Dan's.

If you're TV is High Definition, and you subscribe to a high definition service, you get HDnet. It's really the only true High definition network...and you can tell the difference. They show movies and concerts and various sporting events.
