MOHAMMAD Sidique Khan, leader of the July 7 bombings, collaborated with two other British suicide bombers to recruit young Muslims for training camps in Afghanistan four years before he carried out his terror attacks in London. Fresh evidence has been uncovered linking Khan to Omar Sharif and Hanif Asif, who killed three people and injured 50 in 2003 with a suicide attack on a bar in Tel Aviv.
According to a witness who has not yet spoken to the police, the men wanted to indoctrinate young Muslims and take them abroad for further training.
Kursheed Fiaz, a businessman who runs an information technology company in Manchester, had four or five meetings with Khan who was initially accompanied by Sharif and later by Asif.
The close link between the two groups of suicide bombers suggests Britains Islamic terror network may be more tightly knit than previously thought.
It also raises questions as to whether Khan may have been involved in the Tel Aviv bombing. Israeli police have confirmed that Khan visited Israel on February 19, 2003, two months before the attack.
Accompanied by a group of British tourists and a woman said to be his wife, Khan spent only 24 hours in the country. Israeli authorities have investigated the trip but have been unable to establish whether it might have been a dry run or reconnaissance mission for the bombers.

Thanks for posting this.
More evidence that terrorism is global and war on terror has to be global, as President Bush said all along.
There has been evidence that a couple of the terrorists in the London bombing were definitely Al Qaeda, which means the bombings in Israel also have links to Al Qaeda -- meaning that Hamas and AL Qaeda are collaborating.
This is major evidence and important information.
"...meaning that Hamas and AL Qaeda are collaborating."
Anyone paying attention knows this. Why don't Western governments?
This must be known by the intel agencies of the key countries in the world. Some chose not to acknowledge this, because then they would have to support Israel, which they dont' want to do.
Note how the UN always comes out criticizing Israel for fighting back, but they can't seem to get to the point of criticizing Iran, N. Korea, not to mention how they were defending SAddam all those years.
Because after all lipservice, Western governments couldn't care less about the Israeli's. It's all smoke and mirrors.
I presume this is the last news the British want to hear. I have never encountered any Westerners more anti-Israel than the British (yes, not even the French or Spanish match them) and we see what this lands them.
'I have never encountered any Westerners more anti-Israel than the British'
Perhaps that's because zionist terrorists killed a lot more British soldiers in the lead up to 1948 than the palestinians ever did?
The Chinese govt. isn't exactly a paragon of pro-Israeli support but that doesn't seem to bother you as long as the cheques keep clearing. . . . . .
'What can be done for a more positive direction in Britain regarding Israel?'
Nothing should be done with regard to Israel or any other country. People should be free to reach their own conclusions, not the ones others think they should believe.
'Q3. In the dispute in the Middle East between Israel and the Palestinians, from what you have seen and heard about the conflict which of the two do you sympathise with more, Israel or the Palestinians?"
Israel 14%
Palestine 28%
Both 14%
Neither 23%
Don't know 20%'
Seems like a perfectly reasonable result to me when you consider Britons historically favour the underdog and most of the people questioned will have seen Palestinians with only small arms fighting Israelis with Tanks, Helicopter gunships and heavy artillery. That is not to say they are right, but 72% do not show sympathy for Israel despite the media.

" I have never encountered any Westerners more anti-Israel than the British"
Given the nature of your views on us as expressed in various threads here, I sometimes really wonder about these British people that you encountered!
You know, what our Pommie friends posted on this thread has proven our points.
One bit of honesty can lead toward a discovery of truth, definition of a problem and an eventual solution. I respect any step toward honesty very much.
Quite a few months ago, there was a discussion about too much irrational, generalized anti-USA sentiment in Canada (much of which sentiment originated in two other countries). Several Canadians readily admitted that it existed. An analysis and outlining of the problem followed, and solutions are being implemented.
International friendliness and cooperation between nations should not be limited to groups of people who perceive their groups as being inherently superior to others. Only good deeds with honest foundations are superior.
