Marvin Kalb... Marvin Kalb... I think I've heard that name before... Didn't he used to be somebody one time on the small screen?

Isn't it amazing how when the press criticizes (abuses) everybody else, it is a "high and noble calling."
But when anybody else criticizes the press, it is the "vilest, mean-spirited dastardly deed."
Not too long ago, we used to actually take these people seriously when they pronounced themselves "the voice of the next God," and living legends.
How the mighty have fallen, and been revealed.

You bet your life.
(Yeah, I saw most of them in reruns in the '60s and '70s.)

Having grown up watching Kalb and others of his ilk on TV who held themselves out at serious, professional journalists, I now know I was being betrayed by them at the same time I was watching them. They were and continue to be a vulgar lot.

LOL...it would be great to have a duck come down with the m.s. phrase whenever one of the lib liars spout it on TV. The prize could be a block of cheese to go with their whine.

mean spirited in that they didn't like what was said... so what? It's appropriate to be mean spirited when dealing with assholes and traitors. Tell them to kiss your ass.

I think you declared war on another American newspaper without cause. It is mean-spirited." Does this mean when the NYT is found dead under questionable circumstaces in Ft. Marcy Park, it'll be all the WSJ's fault . . . again?
