I wish you people would stop referring to a 61-year-old guy as "old." Anyone 61 is just a kid

I do have a neighbor like that. I had to be away for a week several years ago when my kids were young. He told me "Don't worry while you are away, your family is one scream from having a fat man with a shotgun over there."
He's a Korean war veteran. By what he doesn't say, I suspect he saw more than his share of combat. He may be more than a few pounds over his fighting weight, but I would trust my back to him in any situation that didn't call for speed and stealth.

"I read that initially as that somehow he'd used the pacemaker to fend off the intruders.... Maybe he'd shocked them into irregular heart beats...."
Personally, I was thinking they misspelled "Peacemaker."

If you remember the first moon walk, JFK's death and watching Vietnam on TV, you're old.
Consider this, in the time you have existed on this planet, plastic has almost degraded back into a petroleum product in some landfill. Enviromentalists tell us this is a long time.
Sorry.

Too bad he didn't avail himself of the means of self-protection that the NRA actively protects.
