Khobar Towers Bombing Anniversary
Voice of America ^ | 7 July 06 | VOA

It has been ten years since a truck bomb exploded at the Khobar Towers apartment complex near Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. Nineteen U.S. military personnel were killed and hundreds of other Americans and Saudis were injured. President George W. Bush marked the anniversary with a statement in which he said that those responsible "were terrorists who we believe were working with Iranian officials." Mr. Bush said that the United States remains "determined in our efforts to bring to justice those responsible for this attack."

The U.S. military personnel who were killed in the Khobar Towers were in Saudi Arabia as part of a United Nations mandated mission. They were there to enforce the "no fly zone" over southern Iraq, imposed after the 1991 Gulf War, to protect Iraq's Shiite population from Saddam Hussein.

In June 2001, a grand jury in Alexandria, Virginia, indicted fourteen Hezbollah terrorists - thirteen Saudis and one Lebanese - for the Khobar Towers attack. The grand jury asserted that the defendants were supported and directed in their activities by Iranian officials. None has yet been apprehended, and it is believed that some may be living in Iran.

Louis Freeh wrote a great editorial on this in the Wall Street Journal a couple of years back. I believe it is available at Frontpagemag.com. He basically said that the Sauds stonewalled, the Clinton White House backed them up and was willing to bend over backward to avoid confronting with Saudi Arabia or Iran on terrorism.

How did the disgraced Clinton's "no stone left unturned" pledge work out? Same as all the other attempts to protect America, I guess. Total failure.

They were also enforcing UN WMD sanctions against Iraq, while George Bush and the necons concocted the WMD lie from the safety of Texas.

Don't expect Big Media to 'remember' any unanswered terrorist attacks during Slick's know-nothing, do-nothing administration.

Louis Freeh book is pretty enlighting regading Khobar and the other Slick scandals.

Yup. The Clinton's were brave enough to send in tanks to kill women and children at Waco but wouldn't do anything about avenging the attacks on oour military at Khobar Towers or the U.S.S.Cole.

And then we watched Elian snatched by Janet Reno's gun toting raiders Easter weekend.

Where was the outrage of the media then as the Clinton Administration violated the rights of their own citizens?

God help this country if we reinstall these demon-crat people to lad this country again.

NEVER FORGET!!!!
