JULY 6--Rush Limbaugh was traveling with four other men--including the producers of the hit show "24"--when he was detained over a mislabeled bottle of Viagra found in his luggage during a Customs search. A Department of Homeland security passenger manifest shows that Limbaugh and his four buddies flew from the Dominican Republic on a Gulfstream IV jet owned by Premiere Radio Networks, which syndicates his radio program. Limbaugh returned to Palm Beach, Florida on June 26 with Joel Surnow, "24"'s co-creator and executive producer and Howard Gordon, another of the Fox hit's executive producers (Hollywood agent Jeffrey Benson was also part of the Limbaugh quintet). With all those guys in tow, it is unclear what Limbaugh needed with those 29 100mg Viagra pills. The passenger manifest was among several documents released today by the Palm Beach County State's Attorney in response to a TSG open records request. Included in the material released were a copy of the handwritten statement Limbaugh provided investigators after he was detained upon the discovery of the impotency drug. An affidavit sworn three days later by Limbaugh was also released. In that document, Limbaugh explains that the Viagra "was intended for my exclusive use" and that the drug had been prescribed in the name of his drug treatment doctor, Steven Strumwasser, "to further maintain and protect my privacy." For you edification, there are times when no additional medicinal "support" is required and there are times, when no matter "who" your partner is, things just need a "helping hand." No pun intended.

I wasn't listening closely, but I thought he said there were 2 other prescriptions (in his name) he was asked about which were prescribed for an intestinal blockage.
I don't know if it is a good thing or a bad thing so many knew the answer to that question.
What I don't have any doubt in is that the members of this forum can answer almost any question put to them.

I heard Rush tell the whole story Wednesday. Heads should roll at that customs office. The attitudes of the woman inspector and her supervisor were rude and unprofessional, and the leaking of the info to the press should be cause for a firing.
If this were investigated properly, it could be determined who the person was who called the paper (some low-life relative of the person at the restaurant who called the press about the Bush daughters), and that person should be fired.
We don't need that sort of abuse in customs. They should be looking for stuff that is actually dangerous or illegal and not targeting some conservative celebrity.

I've really enjoyed the way Rush has handled this. He first commented that when he was stopped at Palm Beach Customs he wondered how Bob Dole's luggage got on the plane. Then, he said the other day that his doctor made a mistake giving him the Viagra sample. Rush said he told his doctor he was concerned about the next election, not the next erection......you know this has to have the Libs fuming....again!
It is very very very rare for several guys to go girl hunting together...even if he hunting preserve has a services for sale sign. It just doesn't happen. Men don't do that. If Rush was going girl hunting you can bet there would have been no buddies with him.
In the early stages of a girl hunt the last thing a guy wants is antoher guy around. After a successful girl hunt, guys tend to devote 100 percent of their attention to the female who is the object of their desire.
Later on when the initial desire has worn off, he may tell her to go shopping. Because he wants to play poker with the guys. Playing poker does not require anything except No Doze.
I tend to believe this was as Rush said, a boys night (or days) out. They may go to a strip joint, but they have no need for viagra.. thus there were 29 pills left.
I would bet that Rush tried a pill some time earlier and found at his age they did not make much difference. I suspect he was telling the truth when he said he put them in his bag and forgot about them.
I do know that guys that have the 4 hour problem do call their doctors... but only to order more pills. There is no evidence Rush ordered more pills.
There were 30 pills in the perscription, one was used since it was issued in Oct 2005. Smokie better be careful, Rush can hired the kind of legal talent that will sue him out of existance for slander/Libeal if he isn't careful.

Viagra was originally prescribed for hypertension. Erections were a side effect of the drug.

Rush himself said it was a prescription for 30 pills and 29 were left. Even this idiot Schnitt on his show had the wrong information and was saying Rush had taken like 21 pills. He didn't even realize Rush told us ahead of time he was going to DR with the 24 guys. He was trashing Rush for being in this country with Viagra. Apparently it's a 'whore' country. Even these so called talk show media types are full of misinformation.....all idiots.
