"This is where our own liberal elites stand, as well. Euro-weenie wannabes."
It's an old, old prejudice. Just look at the European stereotypes of Americans today. They are as vicious and bigoted as any black or asian stereotype of yesteryear. The liberal elite, know-it-all, higher class than you attitude is part of he disease.
It´s the economy, stupid!
Military Executions First World War: French: 600 Italy 500? British: 346 [Includes Commonwealth troops] German: 48 Canada: 25 Belgium 13 United States: 10 [For non-military offences - e.g. murder and rape] New Zealand: 5 Australia: Nil Russia: Nil
Who's uncivilized?
From Brits I have spoekn to, the article is rubbish. The leftists in Britain were against us from the start, but not so with many of the more intelligent Brits.
They see the threat and the need and are supportive.
Regardless of national origin, a leftist is a leftist, pay them no mind.
LOL! Not one of these threads again! Thought we'd all had enough of the last one with the Daily Telegraph a week or so back.
The only place I have ever seen where they put in egg on a hamburger was in Australia (Port Augusta , South Australia, to be specific). They also put a slice of beet! Now I like fired/poached eggs and even beets but not on my hamburgers. So I took to ordering them without. And that was considered weird.
This article says much more about the British and European press than the citizens. If you think our DBM (Drive-By Media) has BDS (Bush Derangement Syndrome) bad, you should see Europe's. It is totally propaganda driven. And there's nothing to counter it (no talk radio, Fox News, etc). And as the man says, consider the questions this poll asked. I'll bet they were loaded through and through.
Well it's Tommy this and Tommy that,
and throw him out the lout!
But he's the hero of his Nation when the guns begin to shout!
>>complaints about the failure of Western (read, principally: Americas) leaders to do more about Africa.
Who was it again, who screwed up Africa?
Oh, yeah, Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Holland, etc. And last, but foremost, Africa screwed up Africa.
" Jeremy Clarkson?
Is he not the moron that used to present stupid program on cars about 8/10 years ago, on the BBC?."
He still does. Top Gear is quite entertaining, but that some people seem to be taking Clarkson seriously as a political columnist is quite laughable.
Thank-you for telling that the everyday folks over in the UK do not support this rubbish. At least it restores the confidence that the everyday Joe and Mary Brit is with the USA. But know this : The left in UK and in Europe is worse then the American left.

Oh we are in a mess in many ways - it lies just below the surface. And British conservatism is a weak brew.
For good Brit right wing thinking see Melanie Phillips -

kind regards
You got that right. The British right has lost a lot of strength years since the end of the Magarent Thatcher era and has not recovered ever since. Also thank-you for your posting. Take care. :-)
PS: Thank-you for your URL that you posted to me. Take care. :-)
But you haven't answered the million dollar (pound?) question.
What's a double egg burger?? ;-)
"Stick with the UK."
Very good point to remember. Their goal is to split us apart. No, we cannot turn our backs on the good people of the UK. God bless both nations and the ties that bind us together.
He puts this in the 12th paragraph. He can look in the mirror and see a large part of the reason Brits have a skewed view of America.
<< there is not a square foot of ground upon the planet upon which a bloody Brit has planted his hind hoof that is not the worse for his having passed by.
The United States? >>
Two possibilities:
The exception that proves the Rule or;
The source of the every-so-far and yet-to-be exploited crack in our beloved FRaternal Republic's [Constitutional) armor.
You choose Hobson.
