I think this financial fiasco could help put the GOP candidate for the US Senate, Kean, in the winners column in November. Kean ought to rap this tax increase around Martinez's neck and politically drown him with it.

I was hoping this would go on longer to piss Jersites off a little more, but the sales tax hike will do the job nicely. Jump on into the red pool Jersey, the water's fine!

Those folks in Jersey got what they deserve. Glad I live in California where more reasonable folks control the budget. Wait a minute, California sales tax is already at 7%. Ok, OK, we thought of it first. It's progressive to have high tax rates.......

Liberal Morons.....

Back to "work" you 86,000 non-essentials in NJ. Yer Gov. got you a week long July 4 day off, with pay. Hey may as well file for unemployment insurance for the week. Hey, do you lose 1/52 of a year on your pension plan? maybe you'll have to work to 47 years of age. HA!

I like how after all the fuss, they are going to use half of the increase for bills, and the other half will go towards voting for tax relief.

why don't we tar and feather anymore ?

The sales tax is 8.25% in Los Angeles County. California has the highest taxes of any state and it still isn't enough for the ruling elected class. Doesn't anyone know how to cut spending anymore??
