Although there's a germ of truth in it, every single immigrant I've known, and that's now in the thousands of people, never quite managed to get hands on that government subsidy for immigrants.
One fellow, who is pretty typical of Indians, arrived with less than $50 ~ the amount he was allowed to take out of the country. He's now doing quite well after many years of hard work and study.
Oh, yes, the element of truth ~ that you can fill out an application for a loan. Doesn't mean you'll get it of course.
I'm thinking it's even odds on him wearing either.
Thanks.
A TURBIN
"You CANNOT go into a 7-11 or a Dunkin Donuts without a slight Indian accent."
THey'll look at you funny if you do a Jamaican accent although a touch of a brogue does make you more understandable.
Still don't have the quote exactly right. And can you tell what he said before "I'm not joking"?
And it's interesting to see how it is delivered, versus how it comes out in writing. I printed out his words, and found that people took it as "those durn immigrants are taking the jobs," while people who watched the video said, "that's so offensive to Indian-Americans...as if they all are in convenience stores..."
Actually Hillary said GHANDI operates a gas station in St. Louis.
These white liberals have their minority constituents hoodwinked. They live in luxury AND mock their own voters.
It's sad.
