whatever the way there is to dump that program it will be found

maybe all gm workers get onto french welfare program

The French government!? They pay a lot of French people for not working already, a few several tens of thousands of Americans would just be drop in the bucket. Although an unemployed American might be more expensive than an unemployed French man.

its overblown - their pension problem will be solved as the retirees die off. yes, it will take time, but it will happen.

if this deal goes through - GM is gone.

I believe the GM PENSION is overfunded.
OPEB is a whole other story though
