The anti-Rudy caucus here is very large, and they make some good points.
But they are not very well-acquainted with the nature of the enemies Rudy made, and beat, when he was mayor, so I'm posting this article for educational purposes.

Rudy has my vote for President. I'm not looking for a Mr. Rodgers type that sings "it's a wonderful day in the neighborhood."

Actually it should say "Don't count him IN!"
Rudy who? Can not win GOP primaries for a very simple reason: We won't vote for him. The truth of the matter is that he has shown the way to crime free streets, but he has little else to offer.
A) Anti Second Amendment
B) Ordered NO enforcement against illegal aliens as mayor
C) Loves queer "marriage"
D) Hates almost born babies
E) Lived with two queers between marriage two and three.
Actually he would make a great running mate for the beast. He makes juan mckennedy look good.

Hmmm, I didn't know I was part of a "caucus". If so, its my first one. Do I get a lapel pin or something?

I really like Rudy as a person and a leader. But, he is very liberal on social issues and I can not in good conscience vote for someone who is pro choice, pro gay marriage/rights, pro open borders, and against the second amendment. I will have to vote third party if he is the nominee.
He would make a good democrat as has been suggested earlier.

Dear Jim Noble,
How do you define a member of the "anti-Rudy caucus"?
Thanks,

I was driving truck into NYC almost daily before and after Rudy was elected. If he can convince me that he will be as hard nosed about defense and border security as he was against crime and fiscal matters in NYC, he has my vote.
.
As long as Republicans keep the House and Senate, we can put social concerns on the back burner for 4-8 years. Rudy understands how to use the news media in a way that President Bush doesn't.
We need someone to push some common sense through Congress as he did in NYC against much more opposition than he would face in Washington.

Rudy's enemies are mostly Liberal New Yorkers. Democrats in New York are totally afraid of and hate Rudy. Rudy is not afraid of them and they won't stop him. They didn't stop him when he was mayor and they won't stop him from running for president. If he runs, he's got my vote.

I can't ignore social issues for 8 years as other posters have suggested. I also am sure that a man who supports partial birth abortion will never get the republican nomination. Sean Hannity has given Rudy countless opportunities to recant his support for this atrocity, and he hasn't.
Also, I'm prepared to get flamed for this, but if 9/11 hadn't happened in New York, if it had happened in California or Boston or anywhere else, we wouldn't be having any discussion about Rudy running for anything.

I think Giuliani was a great mayor of NYC, but he will never get the Republican nomination. Never. His stand on abortion -- he doesn't even want to ban partial birth abortions -- alone makes him anathema to large numbers of Republicans. If the Republican Party were to nominate Giuliani, there would be an exodus from the party itself and a new party, which would be socially conservative, would be born.
