I can see why you love it. Do you recall when / where it was taken? It's a beauty.

The one from today where he was reaching his hand out toward the troops' outstretched hands -- it felt like his spirit was going out from him to them before he could get out there to shake their hands -- it was like a mantle of his love for them was going forward to reach them.

I can't remember a US president whose love for the troops was so strong and so visible.

I think it was during the run-up to the war and this was one of the first groups of NG to be called up to active duty (it might have been TX NG - not sure). I'm not sure if it was right before the war started or right after .. but his running to greet these young people always brought a tear to my eye.

What it told me was not just his love for them, but his realization that some of them would end up losing their lives. He has always shown them how much he valued their sacrifice.
