So. Our very own DUmmies think the same thing. I suspect the people that go to whatever that website is, are the same kinds of people.

Gee, I wonder where they are getting these thoughts about America ? Could this be the answer ?

Jealousy and envy that's what it is.

And how do folks all over the world get this warped idea of what America is?
That's right- Hollyweird and the MSM.
Even on kid's shows, the same liberal line is repeated over and over:
The US government is evil
Big business is evil
All politicians are evil crooks
All business executives are evil crooks
Violence is always wrong
Parents are stupid, especially the father

"Most Britons see America as a cruel, vulgar, arrogant society..." I don't believe the poll.

Sounds like a good description of 19th century Britain! Anyway, the country that gave the world Air Marshal "Bomber" Harris is hardly in a position to lecture anyone about cruelty- so STFU, limeys!
To: Mazi83
Most Britons see America as a cruel, vulgar, arrogant society, riven by class and racism, crime-ridden, obsessed with money and led by an incompetent hypocrite.
A sutle reminder

We should list all the inventions and discoveries that originated in the US, and compare that list against the rest of the World, Britain included.

This is an accurate description of American liberals. I hate them too.
I suppose some believe that we should change our policies to please the world. I do not. Hate us if you'd like, but we'll be the ones feeding you when your nation has been thoroughly sodomized by socialism.

More than two-thirds who offered an opinion said America is essentially an imperial power seeking world domination. We'll remember that the next time any future Churchill comes a callin'....if they're capable of producing another Churchill.
Europe is often ready to state that the United States is racist, and the United States, to some extent, is.
However, Europe has as much, if not more, racism than the United States. Europeans are in no position to argue that the United States is racist but Europe isn't.
Also, many European countries, France at least, and many countries around the world would be a real empire if they had the same power the United States has.

Agreed. Like Bill Murray's character said in the movie "Stripes", "We're Americans! Our ancestors were thrown out of the best countries in the world!"
This is more evidence of Europe's 'brain drain' as their best and brightest have been emigrating to the US for centuries now.

You can't really blame the average Brit for succumbing to the memes of the international left. Heck, if I believed what the Brit and US leftist media said about US culture, it would be hard to draw a different conclusion.

riven by class Yeah - The UK doesn't have any class issues. The British lower class know their place - They're not uppity, always trying to improve their lot like Americans.

As opposed to the kind and gentle British Empire of past centuries? Long before Hitler was a gleam in his fathers eye the British had invented the concentration camp among other things.
