BAGHDAD, Iraq In the aftermath of last month's air strike that killed Abu Musab al-Zarqawi (AH'-boo MOO'-sahb ahl-zahr-KOW'-ee), his cell phone included the phone numbers of several senior Iraqi officials.
An Iraqi lawmaker did not identify the officials. But he says they included ministry employees and members of Iraq's Parliament.
The lawmaker called for an investigation to punish those whose numbers were found. He says Iraqis "cannot have one hand with the government and another with the terrorists."
Al-Zarqawi and several aides were killed in the airstrike north of Baghdad on June seventh.

I'm speechless!
On second thought, though, it sounds like our government in many ways...

his cell phone included the phone numbers of several senior Iraqi officials. Hurry and get that Saddam trial over and done with.
Those courtrooms might be real busy over the next few months.

Imagine the looks on the faces of the Iraqi officials who checked their caller ID and saw Zarq was calling days after his death.

I was thinking how much fine it would be to have that phone and start calling the speed dial numbers.
And have one of our local nationals say in Arabic "This is Multinational Forces Iraq. BOO! You're next."
A couple of them I work with would delight in doing something like that.

I've noticed here in the U.S. and other places around the world.....even the poorest seem to manage getting their hands on cellphones and cigarettes.
