I believe she was not on the payroll of Air America becuase they don't have the funds.....but I think it will start coming out that alot of the hosts are paid by political movements.....kindof like paying for their own spokesperson....
You wait....that little charity thing that came out is nothing compared to what they are doing now.
She was a Goldwater Girl at one time. It is pretty clear that some of her "revoulution" was a reaction to her domineering father. He reporedly was one of those parents who would get all bent out of shape over just one "B" on an all-"A" report card.
But back in Park Ridge, Illinois a guy by the name of Rev. Don Jones was one major reason for her change. He was the young "hip" youth minister at her First Methodist Church of Park Ridge (Illinois) who influenced her greatly.
From Gail Sheehy's book Hillary's Choice ---
Another important older man entered Hillary's life that same year (1961), when she was hovering between thirteen and fourteen on the cusp of adolescence. He was a tall, blond, blue-eyed man who wore a crew cut and white bucks and tooled around town in a bright red Impala convertible. He was young and all the girls thought he was good looking.
But Don Jones was also a true intellectual- Hillary's type. Twenty-six and fresh from divinity school at Drew University across the Hudson River from New York City, he succeeded three youth ministers who had been safe and traditional. Jones represented a radical change for the sleepy First Methodist Church of Park Ridge.
"New ideas were frowned upon in our community," says Patsy Henderson Bowles. "We hadn't been exposed to diversity. Don wanted us to think about where other people were coming from and to understand their problems."
Jones was the only alternative reality in town. On Sunday evenings in September of 1961, he would offer Hillary's church youth his version of the "University of Life" program. He had been outside the sterile world of suburbia and could offer a window onto the more exotic worlds of abstract art. Beat poetry, existentialism, and the rumblings of radical political thought and counterculture politics that were eventually to explode under the smug slumber of even the good gray burghers of Park Ridge."

If you haven't yet read 'Hillary's Choice', it's very helpful in understanding from where Hillary is coming.
I never saw him so disturbed.......rightfully disturbed.
Yet the spokesmen of the left squealed a few years ago when it was discovered that one talk show host, Armstrong Williams, and one commentator, Mary something, had received money from a Republican entity, to talk and write favorably about something on the Republican platform.
THe next book on their page is also illustrative of their political outlook - United States power must be Defied!
Challenging Empire: How People, Governments, and the UN Defy U.S. Power
By Phyllis Bennis
When millions around the world marched to protest the Iraq war and the U.S. drive towards empire, the New York Times dubbed global public opinion "the second super-power." What empowered those protests was their alliance -- if only for a brief moment -- with governments unexpectedly willing to stand up to U.S. pressure, and with the United Nations itself, when it followed its Charter's command to stop "the scourge of war." Bennis tracks the rise of U.S. unilateralism and the doctrine of preemptive war, looking particularly at Iraq and Israel/Palestine, and examines both the potential and the challenges ahead in reclaiming the UN as part of the global peace movement.
"Reportedly" being a key word: )
Geneva Overholser is who got me going on Hillary. Overholser was on the line up for CNN (which I didn't see) and was a school mate of Hillary's at Wellesley. Her sister, Nan Keohane, was President of Duke until 2004. Nan's hubby is an interesting fellow, too. I'm wondering, though, if Geneva is Hillary's pace car.........
OMG.
I want it pointed out over and over that the elected democrats are defending the NYSlimes for revealing information that will help the terrorists.
Their spinning is disgusting, but this time the American people aren't on the merrygoround with them.
?
priceless!!
This Geneva Overholser?

The latest sad anti-Fox outburst came when the National Press Foundation decided to honor respected Fox news hound Brit Hume with its "Broadcaster of the Year" award, Geneva Overholser, a former ombudsman of the Washington Post and a whining liberal windbag if there ever was one, resigned in protest since she felt Hume and Fox practice "ideologically committed journalism."
I hate to tell you this but it not just kids. I work with a bunch of guys several of whom could use a good beat down fairly regularly.
I am continually amazed at the Emotional Projection the Leftist suffer from. THEY do it and accuse their OPPONENTS of what THEY do. Fox's real sin to the Left's view is they present BOTH sides "Fair and Balanced" most of the time. Since the Left cannot compete on the battlefield of ideas, they must either shout down or censor their foes. Fox broke the Junk Media mold of censoring or shouting down Conservatives and the poor little Leftists simply do not know what to do about it.
It certainly echoes my sentiments about the Slimes.
Fellow Austinite disgusted-with-statesman ping!
Good points you make.
Ping for a great take-down of the NY Times.
I don't know if you saw that article, but I was biting my lip to keep from screaming at the top of my lungs about that article being buried in the back of the main section. I started a letter to the editor, but my excessive use of four letter words would have never made print.
If that article had been critical of the Bush Administration, it would have been above the fold on A-1. If I wasn't on the student discount subscription price, as my daughter is still in college, I would cancel my daily destruction of trees to that rag.
The only reason I still subscribe, is to know what the enemy is doing and what their plan of attack is, so I can destroy their lies.
I thought he did well and his show was awesome this morning.
Pace car...Out in front, leading Hillary's pack.
